Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sleep Inn Sault Ste. Marie

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Room was clean and as advertised.
'Pet-free rooms' seemed open to interpretation, no elevator, power went out in the morning, outside doors not secure, breakfast was exceptionally bad.

We arrived late in the evening tired from the 8hr drive from Thunder Bay, where we were booked as per our reservation into a pet-free room on the 2nd floor, but were informed upon check-in that pets are sometimes allowed in 2nd floor rooms. I am highly allergic and asked if there we could be moved to a room where pets are never allowed and was told they were all full. When I clicked the 'pet-free room' box on the Priceline site, I assumed I was booking a room that was free of pets, always. Fortunately the room didn't trigger any allergies for me this time. We also arrived with a few bell carts full of baggage (heavy, work related equipment) that needed to be brought in from our vehicle, and there was no elevator so we had to carry it all up by hand. At least the nice girl offered to help. The room was as advertised, super clean and nice list of amenities. In the morning, the power went out during breakfast, which was some sort of egg-like disk that the rude morning staff was micro-waving as folks waited. Not what most hotels serve when they advertise 'hot breakfast'. Sorry, but I wouldn't stay here again. ...read more

The hotel location is good. The staffs are very nice. But, the hotel is not very clean, there are very long hair on the towel, the bed not comfortable it made my body tickles.

Very comfortable and a very good service.
Staff were professional but not very friendly.

A very good, comfortable service which would have been outstanding had staff been more friendly.

the quality of the bed, the room, the microwave and mini-fridge in the room, very good wireless internet, quietness, nice staff, away from busy roads and traffic
the breakfast area is a little bit small, but ok

Very nice stay, I would definitely come back.

Location was great. Newly renovated rooms. Very close to waterfront walkway - very beautiful. Breakfast had hot items and was very good - breakfast room staff were excellent.
Our sleep was constantly interrupted from 4 a.m. on by slamming doors, etc. - apparently, night shift workers returning from shift! Is this where priceline clients' rooms are located? Desk clerk was very snippy at checkout. Long trip next day-not happy!

Location is excellent - steps to waterfront walkway - beautiful Rooms newly renovated. Breakfast has hot items. When confirming our priceline booking, the desk staff was unpleasant. Desk staff upon arrival was very helpful - i.e. directions, wifi, etc. Make sure when you are confirming your priceline room that you insist you not be put anywhere near night shift workers that this hotel appears to cater to. We had travelled 10 hours, needed our sleep for another long haul to Thunder Bay the next day and our sleep was constantly interrupted from 4 a.m. on by slamming doors, etc. When we mentioned this to the desk clerk at checkout (probably the same one who was unpleasant when we confirmed out room),she flippantly indicated that now we were interrupting the night shift workers' sleep - very unprofessional - no apology - nothing! We would stay here again but we would insist that our room be in a less travelled part of the hotel - were we put in this location because we booked through priceline?????? It would appear so - not impressed at all! ...read more

It was really clean, and within walking distance to everything.
Could have used a bit larger breakfast area.

Would stay there again for sure. All thumbs up!

We were there for 2 nights. The location was just what we wanted, very easy and close to the Agawa Canyon Tour Train station, even a short walking distance to Canadian Bushplane Heritage Ctr. and the boardwalk along the waterfront on the Candian side.
The only thing that we didn't like was the toilet (I forgot to inform the front desk)..it may be their pumping system... it was stucked and we needed to re-flushed it 1 to 3 extra times after single used.

We like this hotel because of its location (just in downtown) was closed/easy accessed (walking) to attractions which we had planned to go, e.g. one day train tour and kids like to see planes. The breakfast was good with hot food for choices, e.g. french toasts, sausages and eggs. It also had toasts, cereals, apples and oranges (just like most of the hotels' breakfasts). The beds were comfortable (at least our family felt good enough) and clean. Overall, this hotel is good and I will recommand it for other families. The WiFi/internet speed was OK, but I didn't know why my tablet wasn't working with its password and the cell phone did (it worked perfectly all along our trip in various motels/hotels from east to west coasts)... anyway, it was not a big issue for us about this hotel. ...read more

Room was clean. Great shower. Shower head a bit low for taller people! Refrigerator very handy. Continental breakfasts were enjoyable and included in the price. The beds were very comfortable.
QWe usually like a little more space in the room as we were 3 adults, however, for the cost, it was good. If I was designing from scratch I would like more space on the side of the one bed closest to the sink! Eggs at breakfast were a little salty.

Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel worked really well for us and we enjoyed our stay. The manager and staff during the day were excellent and engaging. Carrying the luggage to the 2nd floor can be a bit awkward as there was no elevator but since only 2 floors - just means a few extra trips. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wantin to stay in this budget range. ...read more
