Hotel Guest Reviews of the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

AMAZINGLY helpful staff. Lots of Aloha at this hotel!!
At our request we were moved to a room with two beds rather than one. The room was adequate, but it was overlooking an alley and the smell of the grease coming up from the restaurant below was AWFUL!! We spent very little time in the room because of this.

Proximity to everything you need. Walking distance to everything. We expected it to be noisy based on reviews we had read, but it wasnt too bad. (It is Waikiki, so we anticipated noise.) We were unable to keep our window open due to the awful smell from the restaraunt as I mentioned, so that helped control the noise I am sure. The pool was not open which was not indicated in the online advertisement of the hotel. This was a dissapointment. (I did not get the idea that this was just a temporary closure when I inquired....I did not push it.) Staff incredibly friendly and accomodating. Aloha spirit alive and well at the Shoreline, from front desk to housekeeping. Easy access to computers and printers, comfy sitting room near lobby and attached Mexican restaurant. (We were there cinco de mayo so we couldnt get in to eat or have a cocktail, but LOTS of close choices for food and drinks.) Charming hotel, but check out your room first. We would stay here again, but would be selective about our room. ...read more

The location was fantastic, a block from all the shopping and a couple blocks from Waikiki beach.
I don't think this hotel lived up to its 3 star rating. The rooms were very small. One double bed is all that would fit in the room. The small room was clean and the furniture and linens well kept. Our window and balcony looked directly out onto a buiding

Most of my review is covered under what I didn't like about the hotel. Having said that, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning. The staff cheerfully stored our luggage after we had checked out.

Some of the front desk staff was friendly.
Assigned 1 double bed instead of 2 double to 2 persons.

As I was told after check-in, the hotel's main customers are air crew, so most of rooms only have one double beds, which is not comfortable to a couple or family with kids.

Complimentary tea and coffee 24 hours and lobby internet and printing services
The check in clerk named (Kristy?). Quite unhelpful and possessing zero customer service skills

The hotel is in a very convenient location in the heart of Waikiki, perfect for short visits. Hotel staff were not overly helpful (except for Alex). Staff require further training to ensure customer service is their priority. Most of them had limited initiative in all dealings I had with them.
