Hotel Guest Reviews of the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great location. Nice room-clean, comfortable. Helpful staff. Nice restaurant next door.
A little noisy.

Not luxurious but perfectly adequate for me traveling alone. Very convenient.

The rooms are nice! I had a 5th level room for 4 days and a 12th level for 1 day. Felt much nicer than the xxx/night I paid for. The staff were very helpful and courteous especially the front desk and the valet parking attendants. Felt like family.
I wish I knew that parking was $24/night. But the self service parking structure is secured. The valet parking was a little more but honestly I like self servivce because it's faster.

The newer reviews said it was renovated which helped me choose this. I paid xxx/night incl all fees and taxes, but booked it only 10 days before my trip. The staff are great people. They made me feel like I was at home instead of in a hotel. Very friendly and helpful. I needed an extra night stay and they hooked me up easily. Price was cheaper too but I think that was because it was a Monday night. There's free water, coffee and WiFi in the lobby. Beach towels are available for checking out daily or as needed. The rooms were very nice and cozy. I had a 5th level room for 4 nights and 12th level room for 1 night. The queen size bed was comfortable, had clean sheets, clean comforter and pillows. The room had a 5 star cleanliness to it. The bathroom was clean and plumbing fixtures were almost perfect. Almost because the bathroom drain wasn't draining at 12am, but I fixed it and in the morning the maintenance repaired it. The towels were clean and free of stains. Hot and cold water worked and the shower head had great pressure. Air condition works perfectly, but only bummer is that the air flow goes directly on the bed. I rarely used the AC since my trip was in April. An LCD TV with HD channels, clock radio with remote control, safe, microwave, refrigerator, clothes iron/table, blow dryer were all available. All worked perfectly and easily accessible. The patio is tiny and the view I had was Seaside Ave and buildings. If you care about a beach front view then this isn't for you. It didn't bother me and I spent maybe 5 minutes on the balcony total for a 5 day stay. I saw no evidence of vermin. I'm allergic to bed bugs, dust and mold. My rooms were as clean as my own apartment. I slept on the floor one night and woke up bite free and itch free. Very clean room. There's a really good Japanese restaurant across the hotel. There's also Ross clothing store and ABC convenience store a few feet from the hotel. Waikiki beach is about a block away. ...read more

Staff:amazing. Room:super cute. Like a south beach hotel. Location was perfect. Neighborhood was safe. Even the soda machine was reasonably priced in comparison to ABC stores. I will stay here again for sure.
Nope.

I am a flight attendant and I stay in hotels 95% of the year. This hotel impressed me. Especially for the price. It was quiet, clean, modern, and chic. The staff was super helpful, especially my man Tyson. They hook you up with beach towels for the day, hold your bags for you after checkout, and offer great recommendations for your trip. You really can't ask for more in regards to location. You're in the center of Waikiki with shopping, dining, and nightlife. It's not expensive if you actually look around and go to local places. I also could walk around at 2 am and feel totally safe. Cool things to do: Duke's to eat and drink. Egg's n things for breakfast (coconut pancakes/banana macadamia nut crepes). For a little more of a rural adventure, go to the north shore and explore. I did a shark cage dive and it was amazing. Thanks Shoreline!!! ...read more

Good location
I disliked this hotel greatly. I wish I knew it was under construction, parking cost so much money.

This hotel is in a great spot and free wifi. That is as far the pros go. There was construction going on every day I was there so every day at 8AM hammering would ensue on my hotel room wall. If there wasn't hammering then the maid closet next door was making a racket. Anything going on at the street or in the hallway sounded like it was in the room. They also shut the water off for an entire day. Parking was $24 per day and it was only valet parking. ...read more

The staff was nice and the location was good. I wish I had known that there was a pool on the roof when I was there.
The hotel was under construction which was unknown at the time of booking

Great location for a lower priced hotel. it is a quick walk from everything

Great location: One block from the main shopping area, 5 min walk to the beach, very nice and helpful staff.

Try Moose's for breakfast (5 min. walk), Marukame Udon for lunch (3 min walk). Use Speedi shuttle to get there from the airport. Take the bus #22 to Hanauma Bay (45 min ride, bus stop is 3 min walk).

I am on a 7 day vacation in Honolulu. The first 4 nights were at the Seaside Hotel, which is listed as a 3 Star hotel. I am currently (and for the next 2 nights) at the Sheraton Princess Kuilani (also from Priceline)which is rated as a 4 Star Hotel. The S
The Seaside Hotel exceeded my expextations.

The Seaside is a very good bargain. Close to the beach, nice rooms, nice staff. Priceline needs to revaluate the Sheraton Princess Kuilani it is not as good as the Seaside.

The staff at the hotel were great! All were very friendly, helped me find my way through Waikiki and very accomodating when I needed to leave my car.
The room was small, but comparable to the rating and price. It was very clean.

I would definitely return to this hotel. The staff, from Alex the Valet, to the front desks staff were all very kind. They made wonderful recommendations of where to eat in Waikiki, extended a late check out (not just an hour)when requested and allowed me to keep my rental car in the garage through the late afternoon after checking out. The location is fantastic for the price. It is a few block walk to the beach. Definite value for the money. ...read more
