Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ramada Staten Island

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Despite being assigned a non-smoking room in a non-smoking building, smoke was constantly in evidence.

Not very helpful staff. Fake breakfast.. few cheap donuts and some croissants.

I booked my room for non smoking and the check in was supposed to be after 4:00 pm. I arrived at 4:10 pm and I was told that all rooms were taken except one smoking room and one for handicapped. The handicapped room did not have a bath, only a shower, and a small queen bed. Breakfast as was mentioned above is not worth it to call breakfast. The fridge was not working and when I asked them that it is not working the receptionist gave me a cup of hot water to put it and test it for few hours as if I am there to test things for them. I was talking to the receptionist and they were playing with their smart phones. Printing center is another fake thing. it is just part of the hallway that they used to station two desktops which you have to pay money to use or to print. ...read more

It was a good deal
It was an average hotel with an average cost

We smoke so it didn't bother us but if you don't like smoke smell or don't smoke don't stay here. We knew the distance from the hotel to the ferry so we knew what to expect. It is a 15 to 20 minute drive to the ferry. The ferry is free but it is $8 to park there.the parking at The hotel was free. I felt safe leaving my car in the lot and at the hotel. The. Breakfast was basic croissants and danish, toast, yogurt. They did have a waffle maker. There was also coffee. They have coffee makers and a fridge in the room. I always bring cleaning wipes and wipe down the room wherever I go. It was pretty loud at the hotel not necessarily from the road but the other rooms . Our room was actually downstairs but we had a window that actually opened . for the price it was a good deal for us. We did have to pay $20 A night for 2 beds.so when you book the room be aware it will only be one bed and you will need to call the hotel and let them know although I called 2 times once when I booked and on the day of our arrival to confirm 2 beds.and when. I got there they had to find us a room with 2 beds. ...read more

Bargain price, friendly staff.
Our non-smoking room had a major cigarette stink to it; all of our clothes absorbed the tobacco funk. The parking lot was not properly cleared of snow. The towels were thin, cheap, and rough. Breakfast area was cramped - poor layout of the space.

Seems like an older property that has undergone a facelift. With decent towels and a good scrubbing to get the cigarette stink out of the rooms, it would be a good choice.

They seem to have internet issues because it would keep kicking me out. I wish the rooms had more channels to choose from on the T.V.

The selection of TV/cable channels is lacking. The refrigerator does not really get too cold. Had to ask for a blanket. The common area was destroyed by hotel guests early on in the breakfast time allotted. There should be an attendant on duty in the kitchen to stop this from happening.
