Welcome to the Quality Inn Downtown
The location near Victoria's Inner Harbour is a big plus at the Quality Inn Downtown, which treats you to an indoor pool, fitness room and such freebies as internet access.
At the three-story Quality Inn, all 63 non-smoking rooms offer wooden furnishings, comfortable beds topped with crisp linens and TVs with cable channels. Wi-Fi connections are on the house, as are local calls and coffeemakers. When you want to burn a few calories, head to the fitness room. For some relaxation, there's a heated indoor pool or the steam room. On the outdoor terrace, umbrella-shaded tables surround a bubbling fountain. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at the on-site restaurant. A coin-operated guest laundry definitely comes in handy. Pets are allowed for a fee. Limited parking is available, also for a fee.
Two blocks from the Inner Harbour in downtown Victoria, the Quality Inn puts you near lots of shops and eateries. The Maritime Museum of British Columbia is a short stroll from the inn, as is the Royal British Columbia Museum. Kids love the creatures at the Victoria Bug Zoo. About 14 miles north is the Butchart Gardens. Victoria International Airport is 16 miles north.
An "exceptional" staff is your first impression of the "very pleasant" Quality Inn Downtown, which Priceline guests say has a "fantastic" location downtown and "modern" rooms.

Hotel Guest Reviews of the Quality Inn DowntownOur hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel is in downtown Victoria within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Though the parking garage was difficult to enter, we did appreciate the security.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is budget-minded but wants a decent room. Although it was not located on the water, it was an easy walk from the Ferry landing (maybe 7-8 blocks). Our room was clean and it did not strike me as being out-dated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although this hotel is not located in the middle of the touristy area, it is within easy walking distance of the ferry, the museum, restaurants, and quaint shops. The only real drawback was traffic noise. I would recommend requesting a room away from the street. ...

I got booked here using Priceline's "express deals". This worked fine as a budget hotel in Downtown Victoria. I parked at the Hotel and walked - everything I wanted to see was in walking distance.

Nice place to stay. Very convenient to the waterfront and to down town Victoria. An old properyt but very well maintained and very clean. Staff was helpful and polite.

This is not a 3-star hotel. The only redeeming quality at this level is the hotel's location, which is excellent -- walking distance to all of downtown Victoria, the Inner Harbor, Beacon Hill Park and James Bay. Beyond that, the hotel should be rated with 2-stars. The cleanliness was horrible -- pubic hairs in the bathroom, bathtub needed scrubbing, and the inside of the refrigerator needed cleaning. We were told we would have a room with a courtyard view; it was a view of a tar roof of the building. The workout facility is a tiny, sub-standard basement room with no windows, two machines and hand weights. The elevator was ridiculously slow and often skipped floors; the stairwell could not be accessed from the ground-floor. ...
