Hotel Guest Reviews of the Moevenpick Hotel Frankfurt City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Excellent location! Great bar and restaurant. I enjoyed the friendly service.

my experience in this location was much better then the one in Amsterdam and it has change my prospective on the entire entity.

The location was great and the room was very nice and comfortable. Lovely building and great atmosphere.
Not having included wifi in the rooms makes it a poor location for business travel as wifi costs were way to high.

Fantastic property close to the train station and in the new business sector. A bit farther away from typical Frankfurt tourist attractions but close enough for a cab or longer walk. Great 4 star property. Bring your own pillow as their's are the size of couch cushions and very large for smaller heads/necks. Overall a great new place to stay.

It was fairly close to the tram station, which made it easy to get to and to explore the city from there.
Wi-fi was not included in the room price.

Very clean.
Construction around the site.

Clean nice room. Noisy because of the construction around the hotel.

Nice rooms. Good service and excellent restaurant.
Internet is so expensive. No free wifi neither in the lobby.

Good cost/benefits hotel.

They had a beautiful fitness area, and the room was just lovely. The bathroom especially blew me away, as did the many pillow-type choices.
While I understand that this is standard in this area, the lack of free wifi (especially at that star level) was a bit of a let down. The access to the business center was helpful, but at a hotel that caters to business people free wifi should be a given.

It was a beautiful hotel with a very comfortable bed, and their option to chose one's pillow type was an added bonus. The room was clean, the staff extremely helpful. I asked for restaurant recommendations and some sights to see in Frankfurt and the concierge was just wonderful. Close to the train station, the area was very central, and the hotel was a lovely place to retire to. ...read more

Architecture and room design are very good.
The location is not great for getting to by public transportation. Signage is only OK. Staff needs better training.

This hotel is intended for trade fair visitors and tour groups. We knew where it was, but still had difficulty getting to it due to all the construction everywhere around the hotel. One of the BIG letters in the hotel sign had burned out and was not fixed during the time we were there. One wonders about the attention to detail. The room itself was very nice and quiet. We did not hear any noise from all the work being done near by. But the staff is 2nd rate. Friendly but not well trained. We got the room on Priceline and added a day. That confused the staff. Then the room card stopped working for me while my wife was out. They could not give me a card to access the room without locking out my wife! I suggested that the signage from the subway could be better (in a nice way) and instead of saying he would pass on the comment to management, the desk clerk merely laughed, as if I had made a joke. (This was all in German, so it was not a matter of misunderstanding.) While I was in the room mid-afternoon the staff let itself in without knocking. Amazing. All in all, if the price were right, I would return. But I would be prepared for a level of service below the appearance of the hotel. Finally, there is nothing to see close by except the trade fair grounds. Nothing within walking distance. ...read more

The architecture is appealing and the room very nice, with a walk in shower.
The staff was well-meaning but not up to standards.

This is a pretty new hotel intended for use at the trade fair (it is on the grounds) and tour groups. It is akward to get to by foot, even though it is close to the main train station. The whole area is a construction site and the sidewalks are provisional. The way to the hotel is not well marked, despite there being an (inadequate) sign near the tube/subway exit. The room itself was very clean and well appointed. Also quiet. ...read more
