Recently updated. Updating in our room did not include shower. It was clean but needs serious updating. The lack of updating the bathroom and shower overshadows the other improvements. It's a shame it has not been followed through with.

Overall, I really like this hotel. Its layout is exceptional with a large wonderfully landscaped inner courtyard and pool area. Good place to go in the Summer, when it is warm. The hotel is located nicely between upper and lower State Street, so it doesn't take long to get anywhere in the city.

IMO The Lemon Tree Inn is one of the best bargains in Santa Barbara. It is a little off the beaten path location wise, but still only a 5-10 minute trip from downtown, plus there is bus service to State Street. This place has the perfect combination of quality and affordability. The staff there was friendly and helpful, the rooms (obviously remodeled recently) are comfortable and well maintained, and the grounds are immaculate. There are patios with a bistro table and chairs outside every room (perfect for morning coffee) and lemon trees everywhere. An added bonus is the Crocodile, the in house restaurant; my GF and I had an outstanding dinner the first night of our stay. We had a great time and I am sure we will stay there again next time we are in Santa Barbara. ...

I was in charge of hotel arrangements and was given kudos by all so, we would stay there again for our family Thanksgiving get-a-way.

After settling in on the more quieter room in the back, my stay in Santa Barbara was delightful. My first full day, I asked the front desk staff suggestions of places of interests to tour. Braulio, printed out a list of points of interests to tour as well as a map with directions. He suggested many of the highlights and what to expect at these places. His friendly professionalism was like we were life long friends. Overall, my stay here was great and I will always stay here in the future just because of the professional care of te hotel staff. ...

Appears to be recently renovated very nicely. Room was very well decorated; king bed extremely comfortable; great housekeeping; big Sony Bravia flat screen tv; large balcony overlooking the gorgeous courtyard and pool/hot tub area; and as a bonus, a fantastic on-site restaurant, Crocodile, where we enjoyed an outstanding dinner with perfect service from Elany.Front desk personnel at both check in and check out were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The free WiFi worked seamlessly and the in-room safe was appreciated. ...

Older hotel/motel but updated fairly well overall. Too cold to try pool but nice patio area. Bar and dinning room nicely done. Parking good especially if on ground floor.
