Great place to stay and dog friendly! The staff is extremely outgoing and friendly. The location and proximity to restaurants, skiing, and shops can't be beat.

This is a great place, the best in Wausau. We repeat-stay often. City Cafe Restaurant is very nice for meals and not out-of-line price-wise for what is provided. Staff aims to please. Parking is additional $3/day, not mentioned online(?), but prominent at check-in.Not an unreasonable addition.

Overall a great hotel with not much wrong with it. Having to pay for parking is a little irritating, but it's only $3(2 nights).

I enjoyed staying at this property and will more than likely stay here again when I'm back in town. The rooms are well appointed and spacious, the bathrooms are nice (although the water pressure in the shower was quite disappointing), and the overall it was very comfortable and inviting. The location is excellent right in downtown Wausau by the 400 block and the Mall. It's centrally located to all parts of town and located near most of the nicer restaurants and shopping in town.My only complaints were the water pressure I mentioned before and that the wireless internet speed was terrible every time I tried it and the signal strength in our room made it very unreliable. For a business traveler, or anyone who relies on the internet during travel, this could be a potential deal breaker. I literally opted to use my Verizon mobile data connection as it was faster and more reliable... Overall though, I think these issues could be easily overlooked by most and I would still highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Wausau on business or pleasure. ...
