Hotel Guest Reviews of the Howard Johnson Inn Queens Village

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was a smoking hotel. In the common areas....a guy gets off the elevator on the second floor with a lit cigarette...my entire stay including in my room and hallways was in a smokers hotel. I did move rooms but secondhand smoke goes everywhere.
when asked the staff said there was nothing they could do. get off the elevator on the second floor and the smell of marijuana was overwhelming. the manager said it was a no smoking hotel but why did I smell it the entire time.

The hotel was reasonably priced for it's amenities. It had free internet and the room was spacious.
It is in a really bad area and only near the Long Island Rail. There are very few restaurants close by and I did not feel safe walking around the area near the hotel. There was dirty water dripping from the ceiling onto my pillow.
