Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel San Francisco Plaza

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Large colonial style building close to the main square, market and mariachi plaza
These old stone buildings are not very sound proof and the mattress should have been replaced years ago

The location of the hotel is great. It is centrally located in Guadalajara with easy access to the historic sites, Cathedral, Plaza, etc. I liked that it had the "colonial" look to it
In one word, Bathrooms. The first time I stayed here there was no hot water. This time the toilet was not anchored to the floor, shower needed scrubbing, and room had smokey smell. The room could have used some paint touch ups.

The public areas of the hotel look decent enough. It is the bathrooms that all need to be renovated. Even a thorough cleaning of the bathrooms would make a big difference. But for--- per night what do you expect. The bed was fine. Everything is a little old but not in too bad a shape. No I didn't complain to the management because I have a feeling the rooms would all be the same. ...read more

The location and its colonial character. The staff was very accommodating. The public areas were very nice and had a lot of charm. It is close to the Cathedral and the main public squares.
The bathroom needs updating. It had a dirty feel to it. The shower kept leaking. The finish was worn off the fixtures.

You get what you pay for. This was a mid priced hotel in el centro. The staff was very accommodating in allowing us to check in at 8 am after an all night bus ride from Puerto Vallarta without charging us. The room was large with a high ceiling. The bed was decent. The bathroom was the area that needs attention. The tub was fiberglass and was showing its age. The fixtures were losing their finish and the brass was showing through. I saw one room where the mirror in the bath was losing its silver coating on the back. I think I would pay a little more next time and get a room with a better bath. The location was great and the staff helpful. We didn't try out the hotel restaurant ...read more

Within blocks of the Central Historic district. Good restaurant too.
Room was small and unattractively furnished. Doors painted weirdly.

Located on a side street with some shady characters hanging around at night. Old hotel with lots of history. It seems each room is different. Our friends paid the same and stayed in a larger room. Food at the restaurant was good and served all day - even breakfast. Good food prices for a downtown hotel.
