Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Luis V

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I liked that the staff was nice and there wasnt noise at all. Me and my boyfriend slept peacefully through the night without complaint.
The bathroom is too small and the jacuzzi in the room didnt work. Also the hotels food isnt good luckily there are some places around the hotel which you can buy food.

The hotel is just like the pictures shown. It isnt a scam. My cousin and I arrived earlier than 2pm(which is when check in is) and the rooms were available right away. The check in process was easy but the guy who checked us in wasnt very knowledgeable of it.Overall the hotel is great. I would recommend it to someone else. The wifi worked but sometimes it would leave for like 5 mins tops. There was a safe and refrigerator in the room which was great. ...read more

Its only one hotel where
I so staff know English on that level.
WiFi not working 90% of time. Hotel staff for whole year do not understand that WiFi must work in the rooms, and if they need to change.

Staff was fantastic very helpful.
Long walk to an ATM, restaurants. Wifi was intermittent.

Hotel has a lot of charm and they keep the lobby very clean. They offer a lot of services, but it is a little on the older side. I arrived in the early evening. Wifi was intermittent and I continually had problems connecting and keeping connected. I like the flat screen TVs and the multitude of stations. Rooms were okay, decor was again a little on the older side, but no complaints. It was clean, shower had hot water, TV. I felt fine. Open air patio on the 4th floor was nice. Staff was very helpful, got me a safe ride to the airport. ...read more

it was a terrible experience the second time.
i didn't get the room that i chose. They kept changing rooms because they weren't cleaned, etc.

I'd like to try another hotel for my upcoming trip to Dominican Republic.

the fron office staff were very helpfull and pleasant

I paid for a normal room but on arrival I was given a suit and stull had to pay extra. There was no internet access, no hot water and not even an ironing board in the entire hotel.I had to take my uniform to a dry cleaning to get it iron.

Staffs was very helpful and friendly.
Location is a little far from colonial zone.

Good for traveling in small group. Every thing is good. Just a little far from colonial zone, esp at night, very dark for girl walking alone. The breakfast was good as the price. Overall, I like the stay here. Recommended for budget travelers.

internet access
bad location, unhelpful staff, no maps or tourist literature available

Hotel was simple. My major problem was they overcharged me for the room. Priceline confirmation said: Prepayment: 100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. So I thought I had already paid with Credit Card. To avoid CC fees upon check-in, I paid with cash (pesos). The front desk had no change. He said he'd have it later but he didn't. So they actually overcharged me for the room. ...read more
