Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel La Posada

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Hard to say what we liked best about La Posada. It felt like we were at home, which is what vacation should be. No stress! The inclusive breakfast was varied, efficient and deliciously prepared, and not stingy. The staff was just lovely in every way.
There could have been a more efficient supply of hot water. If you wait later in the afternoon, there is plenty for a shower. But, the room-temp water was at times welcome because of the hot and humid climate.

Clara and Nancy at the front desk were very reliable, arranging taxis, answering questions about busses, and translating whatever we needed. Every effort was made to keep a tidy and clean environment. The great room or "sala" was well equipped for reading,or conversing with family and friends. The internet connectivity was best when you sat at the bar next to the modem! There is nothing fancy about this hotel, but it is ON THE BEACH with complementary lounges/umbrellas (other places you pay to rent them) We loved rooms #6-8, in the wing jutting out towards the bay/beach. The little pool was good, but there could be more palapa/chair sets....just two which were always full unless you were steadfast about keeping them. They serve lunch for a small cost, and the fishwich is really generously portioned, and the coleslaw like homemade. Juan, the owner, was available if you had any concerns or questions. The location was a bit far from the less steep beaches, but taxi never cost more than $8 US. The jetty provided a nice viewpoint for a short morning walk, and decent snorkeling. The beach patrol tries to keep the litter in hand, but there is still trash which is unsightly at times..too bad there aren't any trash cans around for folks to put their disposables into. We travelled with our grown sons and they loved playing frisbee on "our beach" while I sipped a cerveza in the shade of an umbrella. Heaven. ...read more

The only good thing about this hotel was the beach, very nice and clean, we loved just the beach, other than that, the service, the staff, the rooms full of ants, no tv on the rooms as advertised on the website, personally I will not go back to this hotel
