Good location - a simple stay with great access to a lovely small town, nice restaurants and hiking!
This hotel is what I would call "old school." It provides a simple, spare room but with just enough comfort of the right things to make a stay here "just right." The bed was well made and comfortable. The room was cold at first but once the heater kicked it, it was toasty warm. There is no rug or wall to wall carpeting in the room, which I consider a big plus! Those rugs can get mighty dirty and dusty. Not good for people with seasonal allergies, like me.
Towels could be softer and fuller. I wish the soap and shampoo was delivered in a wall unit in the shower. Those small bars and the tiny plastic bottles are a nuisance and add to our plastic pollution problem. It appears that there had been shower wall units but at some point they had been "decommissioned." Bring them back if you are truly environmental, like the sheet and towel instructions to reuse indicate you are.
