Pros +

  • It was clean - bed and pillows were comfortable. Tv good. Texts from owners on booking were very helpful with parking tips and ideas for bars and eateries in the area. Did manage to park on the street a short walk away.
  • Beautifully decorated and the private terrace. Wonderful breakfasts.
  • I had the pleasure of staying at The Mirador on Saturday evening and was truly impressed by the uniqueness of this guest house. Each room is designed with a distinctive theme, and I had the joy of staying in the African room, which was beautifully decorated and provided a cozy yet stylish atmosphere. The location is fantasticless than a five-minute walk to the Uplands area, which has a great selection of bars and restaurants, making it an ideal spot for food and nightlife lovers. The property itself was well-equipped, offering high-speed internet, a flat-screen TV, and even a kitchenette, which made my stay even more comfortable. The private bathroom with a power shower was a great touch, and little details like the comprehensive breakfast featuring fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pain au chocolat, and croissants made for a delightful start to the day. What truly made my stay special, though, was the owner, Phil. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic stay. Being allowed to check in early was a huge bonus, and I deeply appreciated the hospitality.

Cons -

  • Really bad smell of dogs when we arrived in the hallway. Rooms decor was quirky but very shabby unfortunately. Towels were fresh and clean but old. Breakfast cereal was Alpen which would have been nice had the milk not have been a day out of date and sour- so unable to actually have a brew or the cereal. This all put us off having any of the other items in the fridge which was yogurt, strawberries, fruit juice. Croissants were also provided but without the milk for a brew wouldnt have been pleasant. We were up early to go on our travels so didnt want to telephone the hosts to mention this. We had breakfast in Mumbles instead.
