Post am See, Traunsee - 4 Stern Superior

Amazing view (during snow - breathtaking) exceptional breakfast and really nice and helpful stuff. The Spa is a real pleasure, details oriented and very clean and cozy. The hotel has two restaurants - good but expensive. Great hotel to relax and have a wonderful time.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Post am See. A stunning location, welcoming and professional staff, beautiful rooms, delicious food, and of course the berg spa! It really does look like the pictures, even better in fact.I especially appreciated a honey massage from Laura the masseuse. She was really excellent in my opinion. I feel like I'm still levitating days after.I don't often say something is 10/10, but for me the Post was an 11!

Only that I couldn't stay longer!Really just a wonderful stay, I hope to return some day.

The room and the view and the view from the spa were just incredible! Breakfast is also something else! All the people working there were really nice. We did enjoy the quietness of this place a lot!

Maybe more vegan options (but coffee with plant based milk was always available and was amazing)

Beautiful and well loved boutique hotel. Details and attentions in every step. Very clean and comfortable. Large balcony overlooking the lake. Free parking in the back of the property. Exceptional restaurant on site. So many items to choose at breakfast. You can even cut your own vegetable. Umbrella available. Powerful hair dryer. You can name anything and I still cannot think of any fault to pick on. 10/10

The hotel (or at least the spa) could be adult only. The experience is high-end and some things are not meant for children.

Really nice hotel (we stayed in the back building) with good design which is not very common in Austria. The room was very nice, the view fantastic, bed, pillow and blanket surely above local standards, very comfortable. The breakfast was also great. And we also liked Beleatage restaurant on the first floor - really good food and design (little tired and unwelcoming appearance from outside).

The spa area was way too busy. We had adults only room so we were confused if the hotel is kids frienly or not and did not find it out, but we expected adults only hotel from our booking conditions - little disapointment in the swimming pool, hard to properly relax. The service was ok, they tried to be helpful and some of them were, English and attitude was sometimes an issue. The hotel is very nice so I am noting what should be improved for the highest standard ... but was definitely the best experience in Austria we had during last 20 years. Worth going.

Perfect location to explore the area and hike. The staff were very friendly. The Poststube restaurant was perfect for us. Amazing breakfasts and the spa area and infinity pool were to die for.

Would be nice if parking was included in the price. Minor issue and I know space is limited.

The rooms were incredibly comfortable, beautifully designed, and impressively spacious. The breakfast was outstanding — a true highlight — with a chef preparing fresh dishes right in front of you and an amazing variety of delicious options to choose from. The spa was fantastic as well, offering a stylish and relaxing atmosphere with stunning views. I also really enjoyed the beverage restaurant, which was beautifully styled and had a great selection of drinks. Every detail at this hotel was perfect — I can’t wait to come back!

Location was fabulous with spectacular views! Awesome views! Very cosy bar and restaurant area. Welcome drink was a lovely touch and bar staff friendly and eager to chat. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of variety! Our room had a great view at the front but it did get hot, so we opened the window but the noise from the car park travelled throughout the night so just remember noise travels up and so does the people talking as they left the bar and restaurant. Also, a kettle in the room would be a nice extra. Pillows far too flimsy but again nearly all of Europe seem to have these and no pillow selection which is a shame. Overall though great place toStay!

The location and view of Traunsee is stunningly beautiful.The Spa in the top floor is perfectly designed and offers a beautiful view to the lake and mountain scenery.The evening dinners in the Bell Étage were very special. We sat on bar stools with direct view of the kitchen activities. The cook explained in great detail about the interesting and appetizing items on the menu.

The background music was annoying and often too loud. During breakfast, normal conversation was not possible. Constant unnecessary background music, even in the relaxing spa rooms.

The hotel has a fantastic location right by the lake with stunning mountain views. The rooftop spa, while not very big, offers an amazing view and is a great place to relax. Breakfast was a highlight, with a nice selection of fresh options, including an omelet and pancake station. The hotel itself is modern and nicely updated.

The service was disappointing and left us feeling unwelcome. Staff were often cold and unfriendly, seeming to prioritize their own convenience over guest experience. The restaurant closed early without prior notice, forcing us to drive 15 minutes to find food, even though we were told it would be open until 9pm. We were also not informed about the $10 per night parking fee at check-in. Overall, the service did not at all match the upscale appearance of the hotel.

The personell was very friendly and made an extra effort for valentines day to have a small surprise and great room. Will definitely return and recommend the stay to our friends and family.

Everything was amazing! Post am See is one of the best hotels in Austria, excellent service, amazing level of hospitality, fantastic dining experience, great rooftop SPA with a spectacular view! We liked absolutely everything and for sure will come back to this hotel again!

The hotel is amazing. Location is just perfect, right in the center but not noisy at all. The staff welcomed us and were super friendly and kind from the beginning. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was good. We would definitely come back and most definitely recommend others to stay.

The location is amazing - the views are so picturesque!The staff are very nice and friendly, and even helped us fix the wheelchair when my wheel fell off!They give you good advice on what to see in the area and coupons. From Traunkirchen you can easily reach all other lakes (if you want to).The new spa on the top floor is luxurious and breathtaking.Breakfast is very good! Coffee is great.Loved that you can install apps on the TV, so I could watch a live TV channel from home and watch the news. So cool!Fast Wi-Fi.

There is no AC in the room. They said they have something that cools down the walls, but we just didn't feel anything, and it was really hot (30+ degrees Celsius).The room with the view is set in a way that you can watch the view on the lake from the bed. However it leaves less space in the room, which was a bit less comfortable for me with a wheelchair.I was missing some salads for breakfast and I wished that the guy who prepares the eggs would speak English, as I just couldn't explain anything to him.
