St George Inn offers a clean "Old Florida" stay to your quiet Gulf Coast vacation. We are centrally located on St George Island a block away from the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico and a block away from Apalachicola Bay. All of our rooms are dog friendly (with a fee) and will provide you with a King Bed and Private bathroom with access to the balcony. Wifi, TV, Basic Cable, Microwave and small Refrigerator are offered as well as AC or Central Air Conditioning. St George Inn has three floors and lots of stairs. We do not offer an elevator, laundry services, food or a pool. Front Desk operates between the hours of 8am - 8pm Nearest Airports are Tallahassee: 75 Miles or 1 ½ Hrs Panama City: 96 Miles or 2 Hrs

Pros +
- Room was clean, comfortable and just a short walk to the beach. Staff was friendly!
- The Inn is charming - built in early 1900's. It's well maintained and very clean. Staff are all very nice and very accommodating.
- The location was fantastic, across the street from the beach. There was a food market a block up from the Inn and the Inn shares a lot with a candy shop and a beach shop around the corner. The lighthouse was right at the intersection rotary.
Cons -
- Security was terrible. The doors to the balcony did not lock. The keys did not open the locks and I just pushed the doors open. The air conditioning was set so cold that we had to leave early. It was really not up to standards.
- This Inn is not a chain resort. It does not have hot breakfasts, staff on premises, an elevator (with some rooms on third floor) and allows pets. BUT, its private, clean and has a real Inn quality about it.
- The hotel is really old, but they are trying to get it updated. We had numerous pictures missing in our room. That would have be a cheap way for them to make the room feel more updated without spending a lot of money.
