Landidyll Hotel Zum Alten Schloss

The staff was super friendly. They were always giving their best to make the stay extraordinary. The rooms are comfy. This hotel is a great location for either business meetings or a hiking vacation. The restaurant was excellent! Great stay, would come back again!

The overall Hotel is well equipped. Everything is clean and without any strains or other damage. However, the overall looks of the rooms is a little bit "old" and - in my opinion - could benefit from a little modernisation.

Beautiful setting. Clean, but homely. Pleasant.

Actual shower cabin too small and shower control handle at the wrong height so that the setting changed with every move.

Very good European breakfast, Nice hotel not too far from Nuremberg. Lovely country side, better than living in town center. Staff was friendly and allowed for an early check in.

This was the most wonderful stay we have ever had in Germany. The room was charming and so big. The bed was really comfortable and large. The staff was so nice! Hotell had an electric car charger and lots of free parking space! Breakfast was really good and had a lot of different options to choose from.

People working at the beer garden are great but reception was poor. Two nights in a row they told us the beer garden was fully booked and we cannot go there… it was the main reason I picked the hotel, it was 30 degrees outside and nowhere else to go closeby. So both nights we took our chances and staff in the beer garden were great and accommodating. If only reception was a bit more like that…

The friendly staff and good breakfast

Nothing special. The rooms and furnitures are getting a bit old.

3 Star Hotel with many Details. Can't say very much about the surrounding because I only stayed on night. you can rent great quality eBikes and there is towels to dry off your dog if you were to bring one around. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Hotel is tucked away in a tiny village with nice paths to hike/stroll, has a charming rustic restaurant with great food and really yummy coffee and cake. Comfy beds, ample breakfast, nice beer garden out back.

A group of vocational trainees was attending a seminar at the hotel the week we were there. They spent several hours on the patio below our room one night, drinking beer and being very loud, thus keeping us awake until 1 a.m. We had to ask them twice to be quiet or go elsewhere.

The breakfast was great and the employees were nice.

The room was uncomfortably hot because there was no ac and the outside temp was very hot during our stay.

Cleanliness, electric vehicle charger, beer garden staff

The noise! Children running around hitting cars with a football, setting of my car alarm. People should take responsibility for their children and show some consideration for other guests who are trying to sleep. The general noise from from a party downstairs will prevent me from returning unless there is a commitment of a quieter room.

Very clean and decent sized hotel in a very quiet and pleasant village.

Room was quite warm, parking can be a problem arriving late, not sure there was an overflow car park.

Great location. Lively clientele all having fun at a anniversary celebration that including a terrific brass band. Food authentic and mostly regional. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed.

Bathroom a bit dated

A very nice hotel located in a picturesque small village in Franken region of Bavaria. Big spacious rooms. Very good parking available to the guests. Very tasty breakfast, currently served to the table because of Covid regime. In the evening warm meal offered to the few guests, who dare stay the night (because of Covid restrictions in Germany). Relaxing atmosphere and a good opportunity to enjoy walks in the countryside.

I would vote to change the pillows. They are traditional big size (80*80 cm), and are very soft.

The hotel is located out in the country in the hills about 20 miles east of Nurenberg. It is great for hiking and biking.
