Location , staff was friendly

No elevator to top floor, wish we were told that. Late check in time

The location is amazing. Quite cool to stay in a castle.Great rooms and very friendly personnel.Easy parking facilities too.

The breakfast was a little limited when we arrived. For the price of it, one could expect more variety in cheese or ham and bread.But all in all it wasn’t too bad.The restaurant room colors are a little strange. The pink wallpapers don’t fit with the grey carpet neither the beige chairs nor the blue curtains.

The hotel had plenty of secure parking for our groups motorcycles. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was well equipped and clean. The restaurant food was good and the wine was decent at an affordable price. Our touring group enjoyed the stay and the museum. Good proximity to the town.

The room was not as large as the last time I stayed there. The choice of beer in the bar was limited.

Amazing location, staying in an ancient fort is an experience in itself. Wonderful food in the restaurant.

Property is great but there is very little to do or see in Sedan

The lady in reception who checked us in never smiled in two days she shouldn’t be in hospitality.Really miserable. Miriam however was extremely nice

Room and ambience

Restaurant , the Meal was under cooked and despite twice complaining, it was turned twice and still not cooked properly. It wasn't sorted at he time and we had to complain to the Night Duty manager, reception the following morning on check out and both had no record of our complaint. My partner subsequently went without a meal .We had to ask to speak with the general manager in he morning who reluctantly offered a refund of 1 meal

The proximity to the town centre

Food not very impressive. Display of breakfast needs to be sorted out. Overall, grossly overpriced and not good value for money.

The bed was fantastic. The room was extremely comfortable. Tye bathroom was reasonably well equipped. But it felt odd to have a full size fridge in the corner with only about five soft drinks in. The restaurant was delicious the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were in room 610 which was almost the furthest and last room from reception.

There were only paper cups in the room. No glasses for a drink and no China cups for coffee. For the price of a superior room I would have expected those and a coffee machine not just some sachets of Nescafé. The hairdryer was one of those fixed to the wall and you had to keep your finger on the button to make it work. As in most places the lighting was dismal.

Fantastic scenery. It was a fun experience to stay in an old castle. The room was clean, roomy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The kids loved it. A nice place to stay if you want to explore the castle or the surroundings. Definitely going to return sometime.

Some of the walls and rooms of the hotel had a very modern look. That would clash a bit with the rest of the castle theme. It was very hot during the time we stayed there. The provided fan helped a lot. But proper airconditioning would have been nice.

Amazing building - not your standard hotel. Safe parking within the fort walls for our motorbike.

No outdoor seating at the restaurant

The location was lovely and the restaurant and ambience of the place was lovely.

The place was a bit tired. Although they did advise they were updating parts of it. There was no air conditioning so it was very stuffy in the room at night.

Was a unique experience to stay in the top of a castle. Our room had a door that opened onto the ramparts allowing us to walk around in the evening. It was off season so hardly any other guests there. Restaurant and bar were closed but a short drive put us at a recommended restaurant. The room was modern and comfy and quiet.

The remainder of the castle was not open in off season so we could not go to the museum.

Good

Everything was very nice - good rooms, nice location. The only issue was that I made a mistake on the number of people I booked a table for for dinner by one person, and the resturant could not accomodate even one extra person - so one of our group had to eat on his own nearby...which I found a bit weird - in all my years Ive never been anywhere where one extra person on a table for eight cant be found a seat for at dinner - when we were all hotel guests!

The restaurant was a long walk from the room along seemingly endless corridors and was a little "tired" but the food was good. The safe parking at the hotel was a bonus. The room was modern with no atmosphere.

Very modern and therefore incongruous for a hotel in a fort.

The fact that you stay in the fort itself makes it special.

We had our rooms on the 6th floor, the elevator says 6th floor but you still need to get and extra flight of stairs to get there. The signage throughout the hotel isn't very clear, for sure can improve and the fact that there was no willingness to accommodate the hotel guest to the restaurant was a downfall! Especially as dining option in Sedan are very very slim! The receptionist absolute tried her best with running both front desk and bar but it really wasn't at the best interest of the guests, non the less I appreciated her. If I ever visit again the castle I don't think I would stay here again.
