- Like most Dutch hotels, there's no air conditioning in the room and we were there on two extremely hot days. Sleeping was difficult, even with the fan. We chose to eat in the hotel restaurant on our first night. It was sweltering and we waited nearly an hour for our meals fanning one another with an advertising tent while we puzzled over why in the world the large patio was not being used - at least out there the air was moving. When we asked for tap water, we were told only bottled water was available! That is shocking and shameful in a country with very good and plentiful water. Cancelled our reservation for the next night's supper and won't be back.
