Hotel On Rivington

Great room and location with plenty of space. Very comfortable bed and great staff. Amazing views of the city.

It didn’t bother me, but the street noise is something to consider. The carpets in the hallways look a little run down, and the restaurant was closed down with the exception of the bar and breakfast. But it was still a great stay as it’s NYC and you can get any food you can dream of within a few blocks.

Location was great for our stay. There are a ton of options for food, drink, and entertainment in the neighborhood. The room was big enough for two people.

The check-in was delayed due to slow turnover from the previous night, with no advanced notice to us. We were not able to check-in until 3 hours past the 4pm check-in time. I asked for some compensation, at least in the form of a bar tab and they did not provide anything. The guest room hallway rugs were in terrible shape with stains covering them. The room tv did not work and the toilet was running the entire time. I told the front desk who sent an "engineer" to check in and he told us "Oh yes, these tv's just are not working. Sorry." He flushed the toilet and said it was working fine, then it proceeded to run non-stop until we checked out.

Had small issues like tv remote didn’t work and room lights at the entrance stopped working in the morning but they worked again late.

Price and view didn’t match. Hotel was under construction. No phone charging options in the room. Bathroom shower tiles were coming up. No luggage rack. $20 credit we didn’t use because the bar was not open when we were available. Staff was pleasant the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location.

Rooms were tired, with peeling paintwork and unclean bathrooms. Shower clogged up. Lower floor room on Rivington street was extremely noisy till early hours of the morning.

The location. The room was decent and clean.

There was only one working elevator, sometimes it took minutes waiting for it. Too expensive for the service.

Great looking hotel, good sized rooms

A little cold, but it was ridiculously cold in nyc that weekend. Toilet didn't flush, had to hold the lever down.

The 11th floor view was a great bonus. The location was right around the corner from a main subway stop (Delancy/Essex St). The bed was incredibly comfortable. The desk staff were very helpful and polite.

The sneaky "facility fee." What did we get for this? Breaking this out as a separate non-optional cost is misleading. If you have to have it, why not just include this in the room rate and be up front about it?We couldn't open our balcony door. Why not? The room next door had access to their balcony.

The location was a prime area. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops in walking distance all around. The room did have great views of the city. Sufficient closet and drawer space. Does have a fridge and it got cold and kept the drinks cold.

The room was freezing cold EVERY night. We could not get the heater to work and when it did it would only be for a few minutes and would not go above 70 degrees. The thermometer had to be from the 70’s and was full of dust when we tried to check for batteries or something to make it work. The room is not functional for more than one person. The bathroom area is small and there are no additional mirrors or a vanity for two people to get ready at the same time. I have never been in a hotel room that didn’t have at least one additional mirror aside from the bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim making it extremely hard to apply makeup or shave. We had to get ready one at a time which took time away from sight seeing. The room was definitely dated and needs a facelift. The carpets were stained and had burn marks in them.
