- Breakfast was good, Location fantastic.
- Not only is it a hotel, but also an adventure museum! There is an onsite exhibit and a church you can explore and also a whole wooded area just outside for hiking!
- This is not a 4-star hotel, it is to large extent simple in its rooms and facilities but a place with amazing history from about 1000 A.D. to East German times. If you enjoy remarkable places but do not require polished 3-star (or above) conditions, this place might amaze you. I would have loved to roam the castle buildings as a kid. Note: No lifts in the castle, you need to be able to use staircases.
Cons -
- No fridge in the room.
- The room was very small and is not renovated in a way that aligns with the building (plastic, 1960ies style GDR quality). When I came home areound midnight, I found my room key didn't fit the house door... luckily, the owber was still up and let me in. The room, even though breakfast included, is not worth the price asked.
- A coffee machine for breakfast can do wonders and slightly more attentive room service, other than that fine and I am sure the new owners will work hard to raise customer service to an even higher level

Eggs for breakfast were good, the rest was below average. Room was clean and warm. A bottle of water was in the room when I arrived and there were real glasses in the bathroom to place my toothbrush

Most of the rooms were great. One was tilted. This is understandable in such an old dwelling.

Castle is still work in progress so you need to be more tolerable to things that are not done yet. Still I would highly recommend it

Very good experience staying there at historical castle with a lot of beatiful landscapes, good facilities, clean rooms and nice breakfast with nice people and very wise and smart owner!

The location was amazing and the breakfast alright.
The rooms could be refurbished. Staff is often not available. No restaurant at the castle or in the village, so it was a bit tricky for us since we arrived by train.
