Poorly maintained, but good for 1 night
The hotel had a good location near the city and is a good place to start walks to various places. The train-theme in the hotel is quite nice.
The property is poorly maintained. There were no (proper) curtains in the room we had, as they were broken. Also there was no breakfast, I assume due to COVID, but would be better if this would be communicated before and not advertised with. It was OK for a one night stay, but would not like to stay longer

Shocking!
Bruggen is a beautiful and pretty location. Great restaurants (Dalmatia Grill) close by
Nature walks are beautiful with Bracht and Venekottensee
The hotel has clearly been taken over by new owners who are using as a form of hostel or to house the homeless. The staff were rude and the place very dirty.
The bed had been made but not been cleaned since the last occupant's! It had stains and body fluids on the dirty sheets.
Before going to the room I asked the girl who opened the door (in her sox) if I could get two glasses as their restaurant was no longer in use. She threw two paper cups at me.
The heating was hanging off the wall, the smoke alarm was on the floor with battery removed and no corona precautions.
