The Cheshire - All Inclusive Reviews Rating
Very Good
Review summary
The hotel features a commendable breakfast with a variety of options, including hot items and fresh fruit, which guests appreciated. While the location was frequently praised for its convenience to restaurants and attractions, the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas did not meet expectations, with several guests noting they were dusty or insufficiently cleaned. Overall, despite some concerns regarding room maintenance and parking fees, the hotel's atmosphere and central location garnered positive remarks, making it a recommended choice for visitors.

Location was good.
Rooms definitely needed an update with maintenance. Our shower had alot of water still coming out of the faucet and the drain was broken causing the water to not drain properly. A backup of water would be in the tub after taking a shower. Our desk chair was broken but could still sit in it. We wanted to open our blinds for morning light but wasn't able to keep them open due to the cold we could feel coming from the original windows and the wood was rotting away from the bottom.

Room was quiet comfortable wifi was strong and reliable. Breakfast included hot (eggs, sausage) bread/pastries, ( bagels, Danish, croissants,...) beverages (coffee, tea, juice) and best of all FRESH Fruit. Rooms were named after authors. Mine was Mary Shelly, with a framed description in the room. Appreciated the bookmark with "Frankenstein" printed on it

Great location, quaint atmosphere, friendly staff, free parking
The room we stayed in needed a good detailing. The baseboards, door trim and corners in the bathroom were very dirty. The room was dusty and the vents were dirty.

beds comfortable, room clean, breakfast simple and easy
there was a problem with my room. The fan/heat just kept running. It was turned off and that was great, but then it got cold, so I was moved to another excellent room. Thanks for being so helpful.

This hotel is classy, clean, safe, well located and has true character!
Nope. Every part of my short but great visit was 5-star, including the full English breakfast. Well don, Cheshire!

The breakfast was very good: eggs, sausage, pastries, hot and cold cereal, and berries and fruit. The location is great. It's so close to the park, art museum, and zoo.
Our room was very dingy. All of the baseboards and walls were scuffed. The ceiling had water stains. There was soot surrounding the vent. The carpet was stained. The lampshades had holes. The foot rails of the chair were broken, leaving spiky wood to snag your legs. The shelf in the bathroom was broken, so any weight on it sent it tipping down. The ironing board was broken so that it couldn't open up. Worst of all, the bathroom had lots of mold.

We love the literary-themed rooms and English manor house vibe. It's a lot of fun for kids to explore. Also, the restaurants are very good - worthy destinations even for those not staying in the hotel.
There is an issue with the legs at the foot of the beds. They cause bruises.

Loved the British decor! The beds were Super comfy. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. At breakfast a staff member named Roxie was so friendly, funny and helpful! Definitely enjoyed my stay! Free parking as well can¿t beat that.
