Breakfast ingredients were provided including fresh fruit, milk, eggs, coffee, and rolls. We preferred to cook our own meals, so having a fully functional kitchen was a plus. The property was easy to find, just 100 meters from the main highway. The hot tub worked great and was very cozy. The porch was nestled next to flowering bushes full of all kinds of birds. We loved watching the hummingbirds. The neighborhood was clean and safe.

Two things the manager could not control: the road noise and the neighbor's loud music. Motor bikes typically start riding by the road around 4 in the morning. The main intersection located one hundred meters below the Ceder Calet caused early truck traffic early mornings and each evening which could be very loud at times. On two of the 3 nights we asked the manager to help lower the neighbor's booming music. Response to our request we quick.

This backyard bungalow in paradise, is owned and operated by an all-smiles, bare-footed, single-mother, goddess. The outdoor jacuzzi/tub was beautiful, especially when the temperature dropped at night at this altitude. Fresh fruit, jams, cream, coffee, bagels, croissants, eggs etc, were provided for breakfast. This was the perfect stop for us the night before a departing flight from sjo airport. But would have equally have been the perfect middle point on any journey from the airport, down either coast. Excellent location. Near the downtown hub, so we were able to bop down the hill for dinner, but far enough away, that with all the windows open at night, it truly sounded and smelled like rainforest camping, with the protection of screens, and the amenities of plumbing. Mom and pop shop stop 5/5* No ac, but being here in april, the windows open at night was perfect.. cold even for me, waking up to 65 degrees! Treated myself to a hot outdoor bath before departing, while sipping a coffee made with the fresh coffee, real, raw sugar, and fresh cream- all compliments of the hostess. Of this entire area/town, i highly doubt better accommodations can be found! 10⭐️
