You have to cross an Estero (body of water) on foot to get from the street to the hostel. We had to do this with all our luggage and everyday to leave and come back. Even if you have a car, I wouldn’t recommend crossing a sedan, taller cars should be ok. Also, the power when out in town and there wasn’t a back up generator so we couldn’t even flush the toilet.
