Definitely recommend the tour of the Opera House it made the stay more worthwhile
It’s unique location
It was tired and rundown. It has suffered water damage from the hurricane but you could see it was in dire need of some investment to improve the rooms

Never got to the hotel due to the road closure
The hotel didn’t tell us that the road (Hiway 190) leading to it was closed. Therefore we couldn’t get to the hotel. Despite this, they would not issue us a refund, which is poor customer service.
See above. The hotel staff could and should have told us that the road leading to the hotel was closed, or at least made an exception and given us a refund
