It was a very nice breakfast. The hotel stayed open to cook us an evening meal which was very much appreciated.

    Cleanness

Check in time! They gave us the room after 18:00 pm.They said there are still guests inside the room and it takes time to clean, so we waited in the lobby after a long driving trip in the mountains to arrive there. The accessibility of the location on the other hand was very tough to arrive. Anycase, we waited so long in the lobby and they host offered us coffee. We thoughg they show courtesy as they gave us the room after 18:00 pm but the next day the wife of the host asked us to pay for the coffees! It was very strange experience.

Lovely couple running the hotel. Fabulous room with a view and an amazing large menu evening meal. Simple tostada breakfast.

Very nice and comfortable little hostal. All rooms street/sun-facing, so nice and welcoming and warm even in the winter. Nice and quiet as well. Beautifully made up and decorated room (like in pics) and big nice bath. Jessica is super nice, the food very tasty. I felt very well. Pretty little village amidst awesome mountain scenery. Excellent hiking from the doorstep. Highly recommended!

The room was recently renovated and had a lovely design. It was large, comfortable and functional. The wifi and hot water worked perfectly. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. They even kept the restaurant kitchen open so that we could have a hot meal after hiking all day.

The staff member was very helpful and friendly. As the restaurant was closed, she sold us a couple of beers to take to the room. The room was good value for money. A nice hot shower. The room didn't seem to have heating, so it was a bit cool after a wet walk around town.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the views are spectacular.

The railway station is at the bottom of a hill so the train leaves you 1.7 kms. from the hotel and there is no taxi service in the village. You have to haul your luggage all the way up the hill to the hotel. We were unfortunate enough to go just at the very time that the only 2 bars in the village were closed for holidays and it turns out that the hotel only opens its restaurant from 12 noon until 5pm. so we had absolutely nowhere to go either for an evening meal on the day we arrived, or for breakfast the next morning. The lady in charge offered to prepare us a cold meal to leave in the room for later, consisting of 2 atrocious hard individual potato omelettes and 2 salads, and she offered to come in specially to prepare breakfast for us the next morning, all of which we were then charged for, obviously. The only place for lunch the next day was the hotel, yet again. We had thought of trudging all the way back down to the bar at the railway station but it turns out that it was also closed that day! After lunch we sat and killed time until the staff were itching to close the bar and we found ourselves out on the street with nowhere to go and an hour and a half to wait before the train left. Apart from this, the bedsteads in the room were made of very lightweight aluminium and moved very easily if you just pushed them slightly. This happened to us once and the bedhead, made of thick, heavy wood, came away from the wall because it wasn't nailed to it, it was just resting against the wall. Another thing we didn't like was the bathroom. The shower wouldn't hang on the wall, it was broken, and there was only a half shower door making it impossible to prevent the water splashing onto the floor. Also, the only article provided was a bottle of shower gel. There was no shampoo and no handsoap for the washbasin. And no hair-dryer. There were no drawers in the bedroom, so nowhere to put clothes. Just a half a dozen hangers in the wardrobe.

This is a perfect hotel to rest in after travelling or walking in this beautiful area. Isobel is a great host, the hotel is very clean and in a great location.

We stayed here with 4 people during a motorcycle trip through Andalusia. Even though we were the only guests at that time, the owner made this a very special stay for us, She opened up the restaurant for us and prepared a wonderful dinner from what was available in the kitchen .The proposed wine was as excellent as the overall stay. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The price / value ratio from our point of view very good. The very friendly owner created an atmosphere that we almost felt like being at home !!

Nice place, in fact the only hotel in town ?

It being low season, I was the only guest in the hotel. I had to ask a local to phone the owner to open up. The advertised and seemingly well regarded restaurant was closed (No mention of this on Booking.com..) .There were no other food options open in the village, just a small shop.

Last minute booking as I wanted to stay in the village for the first day of the feria, I am staying mainly at a friends on the campo, I got a really cheap deal and although there was a lot of noise outside (expected at feria time after 2a.m) the shutters blocked much of this out, air con helped me stay cool given the current spanisb heatwave. Super happy with my stay

Pleasant family run restaurant hotel. Staff were busy, but, helpful when able. The room was big and bright. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom with a shower over was a good size. Downstairs was a busy village bar/restaurant. Food was good. Good atmosphere. Spanish. The municipal pool is amazing. One of the best I’ve ever been to. Very well looked after with grass and parasols and an amazing pool with absolutely stunning views of the mountains. A Spanish mountain village with Spanish mountain villagers. There were a few Brits. It was friendly. Special mention to English speaking (Because she is/was) Layla who tried to help amidst the chaos! She was a gem.

The room was over the narrow street and the chairs and tables and revellers and was noisily Spanish. Don’t expect it to be quiet before midnight plus. The shower was too powerful (!) for the holder and sprayed everywhere! Flooded bathroom! (But, the staff understood, but, did nothing!). I felt it is a restaurant with rooms over coming a good second. I think I was the only one there! Check-in and check out wasn’t good! On arrival, having walked the GR249 from Ronda and close to heat exhaustion I wasn’t best pleased when the (non English speaking) male owner seemed surprised to see me! I had to show proof of booking! He then had to phone someone (the female owner?) and after about 10 minutes (where I was provided with a beer) I was allowed in! Check-out was weird. The place was closed and no one to refer to (I’d been asked to pay the night before) and the front door locked. I had a key to get out, but, once out and having locked the place up there was nowhere to leave the key! I tried to push it under the door, but, was worried it would jam the door when someone tried to get in, so left the key in my room and the front door unlocked. As a walker I don’t know what I’d do for food when it was closed as I didn’t see any other facilities or shops! I didn’t try to hard, but. Oh! No hand soap for the toilet sink. Asked and was given another shower gel/shampoo bottle! And I think the cleaner doesn’t sweep before mopping. There was a lot of long black hairs and I’m silver blonde and bald!? The restaurant hotel is 0.7 miles, uphill, from the train station. Buses Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Perfect location for what I intended. Pretty hotel. Very nice staff. Excellent level of cleanliness. Young man was playing an electric piano in the evening, which was an added bonus.

No soap and TV remote was temperamental. I am sure that both points would have been remedied had I asked, but I was only there for one evening.
