Beautiful place with pitoresque surroundings. Friendly staff, good breakfast and extremely clean room. Beds were comfortable, room was spacious.

I did miss curtains in our room. We were stating on the top floor and didn't have any curtains.

Reception closes very early around 7 pm, should be better to extend closing time to 9 pm

This beautiful and very old building is a wonderful place to stay. The town of Mariastein consists basically of an Abbey with a residence, a couple of hotels and restaurants, a farm and a gift shop. It is very peaceful. Our hotel room was spacious with a large bright window and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with enough food choices to please everyone including vegans and those who eat gluten free. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic relaxing place in the heart of the nature and very close to Basel! It was a unique experience to stay in this atmosphere building. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was very nice and the room that I stayed was very comfy with a nice views to nature.Very peaceful location in a small town. I would travel with a car, since it's quite remote.

During my stay the reception was open only until 18.00, so just to be aware of that if you are arriving late.For my late arrival they organized the access code on the door and everything went smoothly.

Delightful building in a picturesqueand peaceful setting. Clean, airy, spacious room. Minimalist green/brown decor stylishly co-ordinated throughout the hotel.

Expensive for what it is. Pokey little bathrooms. No fridges in rooms. Insufficient onsite parking. Charming lawn and terrace inexplicably off-limits to guests. Reception hardly ever open (and you mustn't arrive before 4pm!). Breakfast inadequate and lacks supervision. You get the impression the management couldn't give a ****

Quiet place, nice close parking for the car, wonderful breakfast.

The room was not heated well. It was rather cold inside. The wifi didn't work. The room was probably too far from the rooter.
