Pros +
- The view was phenomenal and the breakfast and dinner staff were really friendly. The front desk staff were nice too but there wasn't much they could offer by way of assistance getting around.
- The view from this hotel was the only thing to rate unfortunately.
Cons -
- Lack of taxi service is not the fault of the hotel but anyone staying there should know that it is not easy to get around. Of course they'd be happy to rent you a motorbike. We were either on a paid tour for something or we had to walk. We wanted to go down into the village and we were told that we could walk and it would take about 40 minutes. We set off on the walk and soon turned around because of no noticeable paths for pedestrians and all the switchbacks. We think this is deliberate on the part of Kintamani to keep traffic at bay. It's the price paid for quiet and quaint.
- The staff are difficult to locate for service. The rooms were dirty with mould in both bathrooms as well at water damage on the ceilings and walls.. The TV reception was bad. The facilities within the room were very basic. Timber floorboards were rotten and in several parts felt like you were going to fall through the floor. There were mice in the main restaurant. God only knows what was in the kitchen. We ended up leaving the hotel and going elsewhere. Wasn't offered a refund. Would not recommend this place at all.
