Traditional hotel with updated bedrooms.
The room, 51 (4th floor) was one of the refurbished rooms. Work is still going on so the corridor outside the room did not look very attractive (plastic over carpet). The shower was excellent. The hand basin was in the bedroom but was fitted in a unit with plenty of storage space for sponge bags etc. A fridge was provided but no facilities to make a hot drink. The staff were very pleasant. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and liked the hotel location in the old town. It was quiet and only a short walk to the rail station.
Having to climb stairs to the first floor reception. The initial impression with a tired looking carpet on the stairs wasn’t very good.

Great solution for an overnight stay only.
Good value for price and still close to the rail station - a 10 minute walk.
Nice restaurant across the street.
No lift to lobby.
