Location is great.

The hotel is dated and not very clean. There was black mold on the wall in our room. The only staff was a night watchman/janitor. The internet did not work. Coffee maker but no coffee. The place needs a lot of work. You get what you pay for.

We loved this hotel - simple, Mexican style, practical, had everything we needed. Don't expect 5 star and don't be too critical about small things and you won't be disappointed. Amazing location right on the beach and also just a few minutes away from the main walking streets (e.g., Fifth Avenue). Beware that to access the hotel entrance, you need to carry your luggage a little bit in the sand. For us this was not a problem - as we love the beach. On arrival, we were greeted by a really kind gentleman who speaks Spanish (good to brush up on your Spanish before going to Mexico anyway) and was very helpful and caring throughout the whole time. We had a room on the 1st floor with amazing view of the sea. The WIFI in our room was a bit weak - but again, we were there to enjoy the beach and disconnect from everyday life so was not an issue. If you want to do work from there, you'll probably need to find a different solution. I've seen some other reviews about the bar next door - it is true that on some days it was loud when we went to sleep. Having ear plugs with you is a good idea. But on other days, we just joined the party :) The staff next door is also great and very friendly. Great to be able to meet locals and enjoy dancing in the sand by the sea :) Thank you once again Mimi staff!! We hope to be back soon :) Take care.

Great location

Photo camera dissapeared from the room, staff did not look very surprised about that and there was basically nothing to be done, since the only security camera is at the reception. Door locks are very primitive and were locking properly. Basically, the security is below zero.
