The restaurant ambience and the lovely meal at a reasonable price.

Lovely setting. Great building. Lovely food and friendly staff.

Breakfast area small and staff were limited. We got a table but the people after us had to find someone to clear the table.

The vegetarian evening meal food offering was most entertaining to look at! The dinning room was quite grand.The bedroom was simply decorated and was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was too late for us as we had a channel crossing.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. The hotel had a lot of character and charm. The restaurant served wonderful food beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. Good wine selection and recommendations. Breakfast was also good, with freshly prepared produce.Lovely hot shower.

The bathrooms need updating. The restaurant only really had the set menu of the day, and the kids menu was a little rich for my two.

Welcoming. Friendly. Clean. Comfortable. Good value. Restaurant had excellent fixed vegetarian menu for dinner. Breakfast was great also.

Good location, but shame about the roadworks! Facilities and ambiance were also good. Room was good, surroundings very good. Breakfast excellent.

Staff were a bit "iffy". Nothing over-welcoming angry the evening dinner server knew little or nothing about the menu. So either hadn't been bothered to find out or the chef hadn't briefed the team.

Rooms could do with a little upgrade. Staff worked hard, but most of the time we’re on their own.

Everything, its location is easy for Motorways, it is quiet, it is in the countryside with gorgeous walks in the local forest possible. I have use it for years and it makes a good stop for getting to the channel tunnel. or Arriving from the tunnel. Dinner on this occasion in the excellent restaurant, was a main course of Dorado, on a bed of Lingine, with seated peaches/nectraines. Totally delightful. With a Pavlova for dessert.

Superb location, best bedroom in a long time , a nice welcoming decanter, and a very good dinner.

The lady on reception was very good and was working alone doing everything including being the only waitress as well at dinner but she coped as the restaurant was not to busy . The food was good and nicely served the location is beautiful and the hotel is right at the side of a lake and there is ample parking they also take dogs at an extra charge.

We were woken early by builders outside our bedroom window on the roof as they are replacing all the tiles. We would not have booked had we been warned that the hotel is undergoing renovation work . The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we were not told the electric sockets would not work unless the light switch at the door was turned on . We therefore couldn’t charge anything or use our dryer.

Restaurant was very rural French, si bon apetit ! Food was really really good.

Room was very dated and accommodation / surrounds needed some attention.

A lovely spot to have a hotel. Down a small lane so very quiet and peaceful. It was a logis hotel where the food is the star, and it was. A limited menu but beautiful food, very well presented. Rooms were comfortable and clean. An ideal hotel for an overnight stop.

No lift to rooms, which could be a problem for less able people.

Beautiful building in beautiful setting. It's all a bit 'tired' and outdated but that adds to the charm. An interesting stopover.

We didn't sample the dinner! One of us was not feeling well so wouldn't have done it justice but fellow guests said it was the best!

Very dated bathroom. Decor in need of redoing.

Very tired and in need of a big refurbishment. Carpet in room very old, as was most of the decor. They stop serving food at 8.30 pm. The lady on reception kindly organised some pizzas for us ( but these seemed very overpriced at 20 Euros for a medium sized pizza).
