Super 8 by Wyndham Knoxville Downtown Area

Friendly and helpful staff.

No TV guide.

Was cheapest around, but still overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

Should not be allowed to be called ,"downtown area" as it is 5+ miles from downtown. Comforter had multiple cigarette burn holes. Sheets had orange stains. Cleanliness and upkeep are not a priority here. I would not have young kids here.

The hotel is located in a great location to have easy access to the downtown area. The staff was friendly and helpful. My overall experience was pleasant. I will definitely visit the hotel again.

The only thing that was disappointing was not having breakfast. There was cereal and small danishes. No bread or bagles which would have been great for a lite breakfast

We stay there frequently. Pre-Covid the breakfast was not so great. During COVID-19 there's no breakfast at all. The hotel is a bit run down, but decent.

The staff is ALWAYS friendly and accommodating whenever they can be. The water is hot, the water pressure is good, the rooms have microwaves, and the price is undeniably right.

The location was great!

We arrived later than expected due to my wife not being able to leave early as planned, she in the medical field. When we arrived, I went to check in. The receptionist was not friendly. Seemed frustrated that she had to help me. There was two panels of glass with a slot at the bottom of each, but she insisted on sliding my card and receipt between the panels and thought it was funny! I asked what time breakfast was served and where because it was a small lobby. She quickly informed me they don’t serve breakfast, only coffee as she slides a paper to me that said breakfast starts at 6:30 to 9 a.m. We go to our room and there is no coffee maker or hair dryer as stated in the amenities. The floor was dirty and there were stains on the bedspreads! My wife and I go to inform the receptionist and possibly request a different room! There was another guest telling her their air conditioning didn’t work! She was told to just open a window and make sure their dog didn’t jump out! We then told her about our room and asked if they had another and was told oh well and they were booked and had nothing available! Because it was 10 p.m. by this point we stayed and slept in our clothes after stripping the bedspreads and checking the other sheets as best we could! The next morning we found we only had two towels and wash clothes even though there were 4 of us! I went to the front desk to ask for towels and was told we could only get more when I brought the dirty ones even after telling them we had four people needing to shower! I lost money for the second night because we found another room elsewhere for the next night! Wish I had taken pictures as I had planned!
