Hotel Restaurant Clemens-August

They were very friendly. Although we arrived after the reception was closed, still we had a smooth check in. Also the parking was full, but one of the personnel was kind enough to give her parking place to us. I recommended the hotel. Good breakfast.

Everything was great.

Very good breakfast. They do brew beer and present also beers from other brewers. Restaurant is style as well. Wenn on the road it is a good night over stay as it is close to the motorway. There are 2 points for charging e-cars and the parking is for free.

My room was a single room. Pretty small and facing the road through the village. Noisy from the trafic. There is no aircon in the room, which could be too hot in summer.

The location was near the train station. So you could leave the car at parking place and take the train to Münster.. Breakfast was absolutely great. We have had a good stay for two nights.

A large and well furnished hotel with easy access and easy after-hours checkin. Rooms are spacious and very clean, including bathrooms. There is a bar on the premises and a lovely beer garden with fields nearby.

Rooms were rather hot at night. Also, there is a bit of noise from the road outside (may be better in rooms facing the back of the building). Our rooms were across the road from the front desk, which means a few (potentially dangerous) crossings.

Return visit. Very friendly and nice staff. Good and quiet location also close to motorway. Great breakfast buffet apart from above ?☝️

Restaurant and bar was sadly closed due to it being a Christmas break for the staff but there was a nice place next door that saved the day.

Really nice hotel, easy access and check in. Very friendly and helpful staff. I expect we will be back :-).

The overall cleanliness of the room Was good and the room was comfortable.

There was no refrigerator in the room. The room was not quite enough due to the corridors door closed by people loudly.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant. Incredibly clean and tidy, Food and beer of highest quality at reasonable prices. Great breakfast buffet with homecooked ingredients. Highly recommended.

Clean hotel and a nice bathroom

The breakfast was too basic for the price and the quality of the bread was disappointing

Location was great but we were just staying for one night in the middle of our driving journey. Therefore a short distance to the highway was all we were after.

The beds were quite hard, the bed sheets not the best quality and the room was really hot. And since the building is located near the road, it can get quite noisy - opening the window was not really an option. The hotel has several buildings and if you’re not in the main one you have to get out to have breakfast.

the restaurant is pretty decent.

the rooms are without sound isoliation, and you can hear everything from the street load and clear .to make thing worse, you are sweating if you close the window, as conditioning is n/a.the single room is probably 5 sq/m, where it fits only a small single bed (more like a child bed )

Apart from issue mentioned below the hotel was very good with facilities and breakfast

late night/early morning noise loud music at the venue until 2.30am plus noisy guests in corridor at this time

The blind in my room was not working, so I got immediately a different room (even upgraded to a double room. Very nice room, good beds and a proper shower/batchroom. Room is very nice refurbished. Restaurant and bar are good with a selection of craft beers and good German food.

Breakfast (scrambled eggs) could be better. The hotel was very busy with groups, so a little more noisy than expected. Not a big thing however.

Modern, clean and accessible to highway. Receptionist is good, helpful and professional. We initially booked a triple room because it was the only room available for us and put in a request for a double room. So we were pleasantly surprised that they gave us a double room when we checked in. You get the feeling that they try their best to accommodate you.

Can get warm and stuffy during hot summer nights so we had to open the window and we could hear the traffic noise. But it is bearable. We had higher expectations for the restaurant food quality- it is cafe standard and reasonably priced.

This exceeded my expectations, rooms were very clean the beds were very comfortable and spacious. The manager arranged for us to enter the hotel very late at night and I was very pleasantly surprised on arrival. I’m happy with the breakfast and standards.

As always when arriving at Clemens August; Front desk staff is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. My motorcycle was invited to stay overnight in the bicycle stable. The room was very comfortable with a view over the Biergarten and garden. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

In the evening; The hospitality and service in the bierstube was surprisingly low... Even though I had a reservation, the server never showed any interest or initiative to serve... After begging at the bar I was allowed to have a beer and a Scnitzel.... I am confident that this level of service was a "one-time-only" incident. I am looking forward to enjoy the best service and care next time...

When arriving, receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. He offered space in garage / cycle-stable for my old motorcycle. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food and service in beer-stube was excellent. Very nice breakfast.
