This traditional, family-run 3-star superior hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town of Mindelheim, in the Lower Allgäu region, just off the Munich-Lindau motorway, in Bavaria. The Alte Post is a former post office, which was renovated in recent years to create a modern hotel which remains mindful of its historical setting in Mindelheim. Come and savor for yourself the classic style of this hotel. Retire to the quiet luxury of the recreational rooms, or browse through the books in the in-house library. Relax here in the sauna area and solarium. Go walking in the scenic area, or hire a bicycle from the hotel, and go and explore it for yourself.

Pros +
- We know the place. Nice hotel in the middle of Mindelheim. Parking facilities. Good breakfast.
Cons -
- There was some renovation work going on. There was no noise. Breakfast was a bit expensive. The restaurant of the hotel had changed into a Greek place. Last time we were there we had a very good diner. Don't know about the Greek restaurant because we didn't eat there.
