This place is beautiful. The cabins are lovely, bathrooms are huge. Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night since we were there during the pandemic, but the time we spent was great. The staff will set up any tour you want. It's a flat 15 min walk to town and the bus station. The buffet breakfast had lots of selection even though there was only about 4 groups of people staying there (remember-pandemic). The grounds are lovely. We will certainly go back and stay there longer.

The pool was cold. I suspect they don't heat it because it is hot outside, however it does cool down in the evening, which makes the pool cool down too. For most people it'll be ok, we just prefer warm water. Otherwise it was lovely. As mentioned, the wifi does not extend to the cabins, however we were in the first one closest to the check in and we could get it in our room and while sitting out on the porch. Don't let wifi issues stop you from staying here, just unplug and enjoy.

Room was comfortable, set in lovely gardens with loads of wildlife to be spotted - we saw lots of hummingbirds, some toucans (high up in the trees) and a sloth was hanging out at eye level in the evening - a staff member called us over to show us! The pool was lovely for a cooling swim. Breakfast was busy when the restaurant opened as a lot of people were being picked up early for trips, so I recommend waiting a bit for the restaurant to empty out. We still managed to find some seats though. There is an egg chef who will cook to order. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of La Fortuna.
