Pros +
- Everything was great
- The location was good in relation to Birch Bay, but the description said waterfront and it's across the street. The room was very clean and adequately supplied.
- I needed the two bedrooms. I liked having a kitchen available. I liked the location.
Cons -
- I paid almost $1300 for 3 nights, I know it was a holiday and that is to be expected but holiday rates should include wifi!
- The description intimated it was waterfront balcony with water view. It was not even on the front of the building, it was on the side facing the building next door which was so close I could not only see in the unit next door I could hear every word they said until I had to close my window. The problem is there is not A/C and when it's warm you need an open window. The parking lot was the only other thing you could see. The unit was not the one in the picture we saw on line because the fireplace and murphy bed were in completely different places. That's misleading and dissappointing. There was a lot of constuction going on but they did warn us ahead of time about the noise but, the fact we were out most of the day kept it from being a problem. I also had no idea it was a time share and would have discounts dangled but only if you go to their meetings. I will say he wasn't annoyingly persistant after I refused the invite. The office staff was very nice.
- I ABSOLUTELY HATED the staff who were unbelievable in their constant pursuit of harassing me to attend a session to learn more about WorldMark. It would have been fine to mention this to me when I first checked in; however, they put something on the doorknob of the room; they called me numerous times; and every time I went to the lobby, they cornered me about this. The one lady gave me a flyer that said "there will be absolutely no high-pressure sales tactics. Well, THEY LIED as the above are all high-pressure sales tactics. I was afraid of going out the door afraid they were going to harass me about this. Additionally, when I booked this, it said the Wi-Fi was $9.95 a day. When I asked about the Wi-Fi a day after checking in, they said it would be $50 for the stay unless I signed up to go to this session, then it would be free. So, in essence they lied to me because that was not what was indicated when I booked.
