Decent location, not the level of customer service you expect in Mexico.
The location was right off the beach. Everything was clean.
While it’s right off the beach, it’s next to a pier where the tours from Cancun drop off people so the beach front is full of people not staying at the resort. The businesses next door on each side have chairs all the way up to the tide line so the piece of beach in front of the resort is the only place in that area that people can sit or lay out for free. The food was very basic. The Asian restaurant’s food was bad, and we tried a lot of different things from the menu. They don’t have enough staff working the beach or the pool side so getting a drink or placing an order for food would take a while. And good luck flagging someone down. If they weren’t your assigned waiter they’d pretend not to see you, or turn the other way after they did rather than letting your waiter know you were trying to get their attention.
