This Logis hotel is located 10 minutes south of Guebwiller, between Mulhouse and Colmar. It offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi, TV and private bathrooms. The property is only 19 mi from Markstein Ski Station and 37 mi from La Bresse Ski Station. The restaurant at L'AO Hôtel & Restaurant L'Aigle d'Or - Dinner possible at the restaurant (reservation recommended) serves regional specialties prepared with seasonal produce. Guests can enjoy their meal on the hotel’s shaded terrace. L'AO Hôtel & Restaurant L'Aigle d'Or - is located at the foot of Grand Ballon , the highest peak in the Vosges mountains. - The room was modern and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and with reasonable prices. The staff is friendly. The village around is quite small and peaceful.
- Friendly Staff. Gosy and nicely decorated. Warm rooms with temperature adjustable. Very nice breakfast and 5*food. Location remote but excellent if you are looking for a quiet base to explore the village and towns of the area. Very tranquil. Car is a must. I also assume that this is the perfect base for hiking in the surrounding mountains.
Cons -
- Very minor but could not find a place in the village to enjoy a beer on a terrace on Sunday end of the afternoon :-D
- Kettle for hot water and tea/coffee facilities in the room would be nice. Alternatively a coffee machine and a venting machine in the common area would also be useful and appropriated. Toilet seat in the room needs either deep cleaning or replacing.
