This hotel is beyond my expectation. Im surprised they provide slipper to kids, very considerate. Room is clean. Pool is beautiful, water is warm so no concern you¿ll shiver. I see a bunch of people taking selfie by the pool all the time.

It was better than sleeping on the street and the elevator worked. The shower was hot and strong. The receptionist was quick to change our burned-out bathroom light.

Top Tips
- Book accommodation at least 2-4 weeks ahead when visiting during peak periods like Chinese New Year. Demand rises sharply, and average nightly rates can increase 20-40%. Compare rates for the same dates and verify cancellation terms before booking.
- For fast access to top attractions, select hotels within 1 km of Tainan Railway Station or in the West Central District, where you will find pedestrian routes to Chihkan Tower, Hayashi Department Store, and local night markets. Properties near the airport offer fewer dining and sightseeing options.
- Pre-book a taxi or schedule a shuttle with your hotel for arrivals at Tainan Airport (TNN), where airport taxi lines can be long and bus departures may run every 30-60 minutes. Confirm pick-up times through your hotel 24 hours in advance.
- Carry your hotel's address and phone number printed in Chinese. Most taxi drivers in Tainan rely on written Chinese for directions, which helps avoid miscommunication and minimizes delays.
- Check pre-booking if room rates include the common 10% service charge or require a refundable deposit at check-in. Review your booking details to avoid unexpected fees upon arrival.
- Use local 7-Eleven or FamilyMart stores (open 24/7 in Tainan) to withdraw cash, buy SIM/eSIM top-ups, print travel documents, or grab snacks. Store locations are typically within a 500 m walk of hotels.
- Business travelers should confirm availability of high-speed Wi-Fi, dedicated workspaces, and Type A/B 110V sockets. Request these features pre-arrival if planning video calls or charging devices.
- Download a Chinese language pack for Google Translate before your trip, as English is not widely spoken at independent hotels or markets. Test app translation on the hotel name or amenities to ensure accuracy.
- Ask about early check-in options or complimentary luggage storage, especially if you land before standard 15:00 check-in. Many hotels offer storage at no extra charge for early arrivals.
- Tipping is not customary in Taiwan. Most hotels bill a 10% service charge, but housekeeping or bell staff appreciate NT$50-100 (about US$1.50-3) for exceptional service; this is optional.
- Carry at least NT$1,000 (approx. US$30) for cash purchases at night markets and small stores. While major hotels and chain restaurants accept Visa or Mastercard, most market vendors are cash-only.
- Present your valid passport at hotel check-in, required by law for all foreign travelers. Hotels are obligated to record passport details, so ensure your document is accessible upon arrival.
- Families should request large rooms or cribs in advance, as availability varies. Select properties within 500 m of Tainan Park or Garden Night Market for easy early-evening outings.
- Contact your hotel concierge to arrange activities such as guided night market tours or bicycle rentals for exploring Anping District and old canal routes. Group tours begin from NT$400 (approx. US$13) per person.
- Opt for refundable or flexible rates to adapt to holiday crowds or plan changes. Verify modification and cancellation timelines, as many properties allow free cancellation until 24-48 hours before arrival.
- Request accessible rooms or step-free access at booking, as elevators and visual alarms are not standard in smaller guesthouses. Confirm specific accessibility accommodations directly with the hotel.
- For early train or High-Speed Rail departures, ask your hotel to book a taxi the night before. Most hotels offer transit printing and schedule assistance upon request.
- If arriving via Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH), the Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) reaches Tainan in 15-20 minutes, often faster and more reliable than a taxi. Check train schedules and consider hotel pick-up from Tainan HSR Station.
