Lijiang Waterfall Hotel Guilin

Location is great, next to the very popular street shopping/eating place. Staff very accomodating and nice.

Great location right in the middle of Guilin. Easy to get to both train station from here and lots of places to go see. No problems when I stayed here, would stay again.

Lots of people come by to look at the hotel, it is the most famous in Guilin, especially the Waterfall show each night at 8:30pm, that lasts for about 10 minutes. Buses bring groups of tourists to come see the famous hotel so it can get a little crowded.

Located next to Sun and Moon pagodas and shopping area. Nice waterfall show on the other side of the building.

No shelf or hooks in the shower. No outlet for the hair dryer (shaver only), uncomfortable beds and room lights not easy to figure out.

We had a suite on the 10th floor, which was huge with 2 bathrooms, a great shower and tub, and excellent views of the pagodas. Location is terrific! We really appreciated the wonderful fruit plates not just day one but each day of our stay and the special little box of treats delivered each night. Very nice touch.

The only negatives were we were given a smoking room without clearing that and the room could have been a little cleaner. The major negative was that nothing at the buffet breakfast was served hot. That's a real shame because they do a beautiful breakfast spread and not a single bite was actually warm.

Well … nothing, but maybe, it’s huge ! Had some difficulty to find a restaurant although a member of staff was very helpful.

A flight got canceled and we had to book another night. The hotel was accomodating and made it easy. Guiin was beautiful. Walking around the lakes was lovely. Underground shopping was fun.

Hard to get western food inside the hotel when it was raining outside outside.

Though the room were worn out but the view and location was over whelming;Location was superb and people are friendly;The room window alone was enough to immediate your day off;Retailed market next to the hotel made it more appealing.

Perfect location between lake, river and street/night markets. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Room aircon did not work, all a bit old style, breakfast lacking choices.

the staff was professional especially the front desk who help us to change room due to them being warm and bathroom a little smelly which may be due to previous occupants smoke inside. anyway got a great connecting room which is perfect for my family at similar floor which is much cooler due to them in different direction. breakfast is good and location is near to everything from sight seeing and F & b outlet. Book deluxe Room with great view facing the twin pagoda , lake and river.

although it is no smoking but i believe some guest still smoke which we can smell sometimes

Only thing we like about this hotel is its location everything else is subpar

Everything except location. It’s definite not a 5 star hotel. There is no one to help with luggage’s too. No one cares. The lift is in 2nd floor and with luggage’s it’s hard to workout escalators. Room was clean but nothing else. Breakfast is the biggest letdown. Literally nothing was there to eat, not even a coffee. Highly disappointed Would never recommend this hotel to any one travelling with family

Worst 5 star hotel in China

Worn down hotel, no WiFi, no working AC, dirty, unfriendly.

Could have more chesse options and more fruit options.The front dewsk staff could be more prepared with english language. Difficult to communicate.

We loved the location of this hotel. Right by the lakes and the night market.Great central location and great staff. Good breakfast selection. Very comfortable beds with well stocked bathroom toiletries.Free safe, no deposit needed.

No dislikes re this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay however the rooms with the view of the lakes may be a bit loud, piped music, until 12pm. Didn’t bother us and closed window negated the noise. Don’t let it put you off this roomy, friendly and very efficient hotel.

The location was perfect. Walking distance for all the pagodas and the lakes. Room was great, comfortable and spacious.

The elevators! They were slow, waited 10 mins just to get into one and then they just stopped working.

Helpful staff. Clean, comfy room.The view was wonderful (although seeing both Pagodas depends on the room number).Great location.

Deposit money more than the room price itself. Might get crowded.Lights went off after 10pm so there was a tight schedule to see the view in its finest from the hotel room - next time I would give up booking up the hotel with a view for the reason..

Nothing to not like

The hotel is in the city centre of Guilin and this is the most important thing. You can easily go around by foot to the pagodas, night markets and so on.

The facility is very old, so don't expect very new forniture and building. The hotel is very big so it is always crowded.

The room , the view, location, rich breakfast, waterfall scheduled every evening.

Even if we could cancel the room booking until 6 p.m. on the day of arrival, our account was debited by the hotel at about 10.30 a.m., when we were in the train, heading to Guilin, where we arrived at about 4 p.m. We were very upset and it took sometime to clear up this unpleasant situation with the receptionist.
