Sabotin, Hotel & Restaurant

The Sabotin is a perfect spot for exploring Nova Gorica and Gorizia. The location is great for experiencing both Slovenia and Italy. Our room was clean, very comfortable, and spacious. The reception team is friendly, helpful, and very professional. We were welcomed warmly, and our room exceeded expectations. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and morning breakfast. We will be back.

We loved our stay. We were by bicycles, and the bike storage was great. We really appreciated it. We loved the room, the breakfast, and the location, which is next to the Solkan bridge, a masterpiece of civil engineering. Everything was excellent indeed. We only stayed one day, but we need to explore the Vipava Valley further. The hotel is located in a former mansion of a duke. I agree that this is a way better usage of the space :D. The staff were fantastic. Both check-in and check-out went smoothly; you feel welcome, experience warmth, and enjoy a great sense of hospitality. The same is with the staff during breakfast and with the room maintenance, all deserve a big chocolate cake :D Thank you so much for making our holiday even more glamurous.

The only point is that I have a medication that needs to be stored in the refrigerator. This is not the problem, but during travel, I use the ice pouches that I need to store overnight in a freezer, so that my medication is kept safe in my portable fridge bag. I was not allowed to store these ice pouches in a hotel freezer due to safety policy. It is understandable, but it has never been the case at any other hotel where I have stayed. Please check it out, as there must be a way.

Location, room size. Parking was great. Some staff super, some not. Restaurant.

Bed was too hard, rain type shower dripped when using hand held wand, noise from traffic, the toilet was close to window curtain which was annoying on the toilet, as it hit your left shoulder.

Great location for Sabotin Hill and Sveta Gora. Quiet, nice breakfast, friendly staff.

Very nice and helpful stuff, great breakfast, very clean room, food in a restaurant downstairs perfect, wi-fi very good, tv also working, parking enought space (I travel with a wan,) pet friendly- I travel with 2 dogs (a labrador retriever and a standard poodle), additional payment for dogs, I was informed in advance, I agreed to it. Nice big bed.

The hotel has out-of-date furniture, an insufficiently wide selection for breakfast, and extremely bad coffee.

Very nice property with planty of parking, restaurant, play ground, in walking distance to the park. Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean and updated. Perfect place for families.

Check-in process rather cumbersome, the young gentleman at the reception obviously did not comprehend my 10 hours biking that day, i came exhausetd and all my wish was a quick hot shower.

The interior is nice. Rooms are cosy and modern. Loved the location. Food is amazing. The staff is friendly.

As for the rooms, they were properly equipped, only the air conditioning was quite noisy. Breakfast was simpler but sufficient. We had dinner at the restaurant and were satisfied. Parking in front of the hotel is an advantage.

II'm not a complainer, but I have to write that the room was not cleaned properly before the stay. There was a large layer of smell under the bed, used crumpled tissues behind the bedside table. There were shorts hanging on the balcony, apparently from the previous guest. I pointed out this fact on the first day of boarding, but the remedy was only that they picked up the used tissues from the ground the next day! The receptionists were nice and wanted to solve the situation, but the reality was different. They did not clean the room properly until our departure.
