Hotel Miyako Hills

The room is spacious and very well equipped. The location is great! The room was super clean. The building looks old but it was very clean.

Onsen only for men. Breakfast is cheap but not good.

Good location, only about a 5 min. walk from the train station and bus depot. Very good breakfast. Huge and excellent manga library on the 2nd floor. A top sheet on the bed as well as a comforter, which makes it easier to control the temperature. An open stairway you can use, in addition to a very small elevator.

Noisy. The doors seem to be designed to make as much noise as possible, and the walls are very thin. Be sure you have earplugs or a white noise app and earbuds. Only one pillow (I like sleeping with two). No writing pad or pen. No light switches by the bed.

It was a 6 mins walk from the Station to the Hotel (recommend using Google Maps); and I had a reasonable sized room, clean bathroom and toilet, with an additional sink, mirrored unit in the main area, so a bonus; and a comfortable and quiet overnight stay. :D

Staff could have been more welcoming and signage of hotel in English eg - Hotel Miyako Hills, was not visible , only Japanese signage was on the outside of the Hotel.The breakfast (basic, and Japanese style) did not match what the promotional photos showed, but it was OK.

so close to the train station, had everything i needed for a quick over night stay. Will come back if i stay in Miyako next time

The location is good, it's an easy walk from Miyako station. The staff didn't really understand English but they did their best to be helpful despite the language barrier. A selection of different pillows is available in the lobby, but the one in the room was decently comfortable as was the bed. Wifi worked alright, and the breakfast was decent. Room is fairly spacious as far as Japanese hotels go.

Despite being a "non-smoking" room, there was a strong smell of cigarette in the room. The carpets and surfaces were quite stained too, and the room in general could use a facelift. It was also very loud in the room as soundproofing is basically nonexistent, you'll hear everything happening in the hallway and other rooms. Bring earplugs.

Room contained a proper refrigerator/Freezer along with a microwave.

Showed a bit of age

The hotel is very nice; it seems to be one of the largest in Miyako and is quite central and close to the train station. Not everyone among the staff speaks English but they are very patient and there's always a way to communicate via translation apps etc.

The room was a reasonable size, and bathroom was small but functioned fine and was clean. Location is excellent, very near the station.

The small double bed was the smallest double bed I’ve ever seen. The hotel had poor decor, and the breakfast was very poor compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in.

A prefect location. Breakfast was very rich. Keeping your luggage kindly.

The carpet in the room had stains. Noise (bearable) from other rooms and the corridor at night.

The hotel was very quiet. Overall, it's an old business hotel and the corridors smell a bit funky, but the rooms are comfortable and clean. The sentou is large and very well maintained. There is a small sauna cubicle you can use in the bath area too.

The staff didn't really talk to me or explain anything. Just handed me keys and pointed out the elevator.
