Pros +
- Food was excellent. Service very good
- The location was just 5 mins from the sea and 7 mins drive into Honfleur. It was quiet, rural and the grounds were delightful. The hotel is beautiful and they upgraded us to the suite which was amazing. What a lovely room. Roll top bath, beautiful views over the countryside. Super comfortable bed. Really quiet. Spectacular!! We wished we could have stayed longer than our one night and we really relaxed. Great service from staff. If you stay here you absolutely won’t be disappointed. There’s an on site spa that we didn’t use but I’m sure it also meets expectations. Little touches like the soap for our stay and the local produce in the room (apple juice and cider) were super thoughtful.
- Wonderful view
Cons -
- Tub in the bathroom. Room storage. Satellite TV: no english channels
- Two tiny gripes nothing major and forgot to mention on checkout. Kettle doesn’t stay on so you have to hold the switch down to boil it and coffee machine leaked everywhere but seriously that’s nothing compared to the overall stay and is a simple fix.
- Room was nice but dirty. We have asked specifically to have it cleaned, but it was still dirty after we came back from the spa.

Wonderful view
Room was nice but dirty. We have asked specifically to have it cleaned, but it was still dirty after we came back from the spa.
Very idillic place, hidden in the green. An old Maison renewed to modem elegant standard. Super friendly personnel, exquisite restaurant! It is only 10 minutes drive from the beautiful Honfleur.
Our bathrooms had only bathtubs, which were very nice but not preferred by all family members.
Fantastic views, incredibly helpful staff, a truly relaxing experience. The room was very spacious and extremely clean.
Nothing!
Upscale luxury inn. Great amenities. Friendly staff. Excellent service.
Amazing property with wonderful rooms, surroundings and nice spa.
The old fashioned shower was not practical. You can tell every guest floods the bath based on the calcium deposits on the black floor tile.
Beautiful gardens. Fabulous restaurant. Good amenities in the rooms.
Pillows not great.
The hotel is like something out of a fairytale. We arrived early and were upgraded to a bigger room which turned out to be incredibly well laid out, with an impressive double shower/tub bathroom and equipped with everything one could need from coffee, tea, locally made appleade and incredibly smelling bath products. We absolutely loved our room! The bed was huge, linens were fresh and crisp and lighting was great for relaxing. The view from our 1st floor room was also great. We had dinner in the smaller restaurant and the selection was not too bad. Staff were incredibly attentive and helped with everything, from pointers about the area to any other questions. The spa was small but well managed and we enjoyed the sauna and steam room. The hotel is a short walk away from a nice beach and a short drive from Honfleur or Le Havre.
A gym inside the premises would have been great.
Wonderful location, surrounded by orchards. Fascinating architecture. Easy walk down to ‘cider farm’.
The restaurant was closed. limited choice of food at the bar.
Food was very good , staff were all great and helpful and friendly - hotel was only let down by the room size / lack of aircon / cramped layout, which unfortunately slightly spoilt the overall experience
The room was small therefore space was at a premium, and this was particularly noticeable as a result of room design / layout at base of bed. The room was extremely hot and did not have air conditioning , and bearing in mind that dinner & room were over 500 euros excluding breakfast this was a disappointment
The grounds are beautiful and the hotel architecture from the outside is beautiful too
Room was not cleaned properly . It was just lacking in various respects . Ordered drinks asked for nuts , waiter said he’d bring but forgot. Service was not tight. Bed was not comfortable and the bathroom was a disaster! A claw foot deep bath with shower attachment and dirty circular shower curtain . No hook to have standing shower .
Beautiful settingsStaff were fantastic Rooms were lovely
We weren’t told the restaurant was closed and we had made a booking. It left us with a major problem of getting food as we hadn’t eaten all day. It would have been helpful to know that when we checked in .The plug in the bath was broken and we were told they couldn’t fix it until we had gone x. Only a bath with a small shower head in the room.
The building and gardens were amazing.
Sound proofing is an issue. You don’t want to spend 600€ a night and hear the guy next door walking the stairs or sneeze. Same goes for the spa, the soundproofing is really bad, there is no wall between each room. I was hearing the guy next door snoring…
Charm and authenticity of the property.Softness of the towelsCourteous and attitude of the team who makes their best to satisfy you.
loved the hospitality, location, rooms, and outdoor seating.
the dinner was Michelin quality, but not best suited for my teenage children. I asked about that when making the reservation and was told they would be happy.
The location is phenomenal. It's on an idyllic acreage just outside Honfleur and has everything you need for a fantastic getaway in a quiet location. They have thought of everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The bedding is premium. The food is delicious and features a variety of locally sourced cheeses, yogurts, and more. The spa is a quaint oasis, and the pool is beautiful. When you arrive, each member of your party gets to choose a custom soap for their stay. It's a nice touch that was above and beyond.
lovely grounds, nice swimming pool and attentive staff
rooms too small (including toilets with no sinklimited menu a bit pricey especially once you add the cost of breakfast
Great place. Great view. The Garden is magnificent. Free parking. Nice Interior design. Great location.
I had a call before arriving to inform that the restaurant was closed two days (that was not clear at the moment of booking). I was not able to confirm but was also not informed that of the two other nights, one of the nights the restaurant was also closed for a mass BBQ. 75 Euro is way too much for one BBQ.So, I was disappointed that there was no place in the restaurant, but there was no help from the staff. When asking for an alternative, they directed me to a beach cabinet Le spot, which was far away from what we were looking for (and it was even closed). You have to be early to conquer a seat at the swimming pool.A lot of dogs present. There was a lot of dust in the room, which has no air conditioning. On a hot night, it is almost impossible to sleep. The fans are somewhat of a relief, but they do not cool down the room. Some of the staff are not very responsive to needs. But in general friendly people. Management is not flexible. They need to understand what customer experience is all about. It's not the great venue alone, it's also how they deal with customers.
great stay - staff was very helpful - nice breakfastpeacefull away from the crowds in Honfleur
