    Pros +

    • The room was a good size and had a lovely view of the river from our window. The bathroom was a little dated, but the room was a good value for the money and we had plenty of space. The breakfast was a typical German breakfast buffet. Briedern is a very quiet village in late October, so there was not much going on at all. If you want nightlife or things to do in the afternoon, this is not the place to stay. It is, however, a good base if you have a car or a bike.
    • Very kind and friendly staff, spacious family room. Breakfast was quite good for a small hotel.
    • Beautiful view, quiet. Breakfast was lovely.

    Cons -

    • We were looking forward to visiting the hotel's cellar bar after dinner. Unfortunately, the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke when we opened the door made us immediately turn around. A definite disappointment.
    • Pillows could be more comfortable, the shower was leaking, noise from neighbors above and a hall.
    • No information given upon check in.

great location. nice size room, large comfortable bed. breakfast was good. staff were friendly.

the large continental pillows are not very comfortable and also felt plasticy... there was no coffee machine in the room although the image on booking showed a nespresso machine.

Gorgeous property on the river banks. Beautiful view of the Moselle. Modern clean, spacious room. Free parking in front of hotel. Great value. Valentina was an amazing host. Food is excellent! Cannot recommend this property more highly.

Overall the Guesthouse was really nice. We stayed in the older part of the building where the rooms could maybe have a little update, however the room was very clean and comfortable. The Wifi was working perfect. We arrived late which was no problem for the hotel and I could get the key in the cellarbar. The breakfast is just what you need in this short stay. Bread, yoghurt, croissant etc.. What is nice is that you get a pot of coffee (filtercoffee). There is a sort of a porch in the front where you can sit and have a view of the Moeselriver. The staff as well is really helpfull and very friendly. I can recommand to eat dinner here. Food is great and lovely. We had a very pleasant stay.

    So friendly! Great stay!Great food!

Its like most Mosel hotels, typical german rooms, old school bathroom.

Welcoming, spoke English, made an effort for a vegan breakfast.

The room was on the third floor with no elevator and high stairs.Smell of cooking and cigarette, and voices came up to the balcony and room.Wasn't comfortable.

Really nice village , great restaurant

    Timber floor a bit noisy

    8GraemePosted on: 8-16-2023

Lovely location and a lovely village too - much smaller than nearby Cochem and therefore much quieter too.The staff who welcomed us were really nice and helpful. The food, we ate at the restaurant in the evening and the following mornings breakfast were excellent - first rate in fact !!

The room could perhaps do with a bit of a revamp, especially in the bathroom however that's just a minor thing and didn't detract from our very enjoyable stay.

Pretty hotel overlooking the river with a dining outside at the riverside, the rear and inside.Comfy clean room with a large balcony at the rear of the property.Helpful staff.Parking for our motorcycle at the front of the hotel.

Once we had got over the mix-up with the rooms the location and drinks and evening meal sat out on the terrace was absolutely wonderful. As was sitting inside for breakfast in the morning when the heavens opened! Would happily stay there again and it was so much better - at least for us - to be in a lovely quiet location just outside a main tourist draw rather than in the main town itself. as it is right next to a cycle path would be absolutely ideal for cyclists exploring the Mosel valley.

Nothing to quibble about at all.

The hotel room was very good, exactly as seen on the pictures and described in the descriptions. The staff was very helpful and net, and the breakfast was marvelous. And the pizza ... was very good. All of them on a very friendly price.

Great location right on the river; quiet; good views; good breakfast; clean.

Some rooms could soon use a renovation; steep stairs.
