Hotel Marten Ski-In & Ski-Out

A top accommodation, literally on the slope, super facilities, underground parking, heated ski deposit, and helpful staff. Nothing to complain about

Location is fantastic, ski to door and main lift 100m. Quiet location and exceptionally clean.

The room decor is a bit dated but it’s being renovated this summer other than that everything else is great.

Wellness are was equipped just with sauna and relax loungers. It’s not quite up to date at least whirlpool could be there as well for winter season

Fantastic family-run hotel with terrific staff. Everything was tastefully decorated, the bedroom was extremely comfortable and the food was delicious, exceeding our expectations. Breakfast was one of the best we've had and the buffet salad in the evening was a real treat. Lovely owner and family!

A very nice small family-run hotel in a beautiful, peaceful setting. A beautifully served and selected three-course dinner, which surprises again and again with unusual combinations. The outdoor swimming pool is large enough for a pleasant refreshment and fitness. The rooms are exceptionally neat and clean, and the maids are practically invisible. The surrounding area is full of opportunities for walks and even more demanding climbs. Access to the hotel is easy, and there is a big parking and a garage available.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet location at one end of the valley, with Ski in/Ski out access. Beautifully designed and decorated hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was extensive and very good. The evening meal (with choice of main course), was also very good. Don’t be fooled by some of the small looking portion sizes, they are very deceptive…we were never left needing more by the end of the meal and the salad buffet was huge. The lady that was our waitress during our stay (And spoke the best English), was really friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. The bar area was lovely…a nice place to enjoy an after dinner drink. Our room was beautifully decorated, large and had a lovely balcony looking out over the slope at the front of the hotel. Bed was extremely comfortable and there was loads of storage.

If there were to be a negative, it would be that if you missed the last lift up (to enable you to ski back to the hotel), it is, although not far, quite a trek uphill in ski boots and carrying skis. Also, if you don’t have a car, you can’t really go in to town in the evening or for shopping. This didn’t worry us, but might bother some people. Also, a word of warning…a Taxi from Saalbach to Hinterglemm is very expensive if you do miss the last Ski Bus or lift…about 28 euros for a 15 minute journey.
