- A look back to old Norway, the staff was helpful,
- location and view from balcony, quiet.
- Location was wonderful.
Cons -
- The tub was a little tricky due to height and the shower wand complicated, but still a good shower
- small bathroom and bad water draining of the shower cabin,,curtains to small to cover whole window;light came inside.dinner was ok but nothing special. breakfast is simple and gets crowdy when busses have arrived and all the people want to have food at 07.00 hr. Tip: remove tv from pillar between balcony windows, the view wil be much better.
- We took an impromptu trip in the evening and returned at 10pm. All of the doors were locked from the outside! We were never told that would happen or given a code until we frantically looked for assistance at 10:30pm. No one was on site until we were yelling for help. And now after getting back home, realized they charged our card twice! Just very unorganized and frightening that they would lock everyone in to the building at night.

Hotel is located right on the fjord coast beside the ferry dock and the view from the room was just stunning. Beds were really comfortable and windows are large so you can enjoy the view. There is a sauna with a fjord view and a small private beach. We came quite early but the receptionist was so kind and checked us in.
Breakfast could have been little bit more diverse and the nearest grocery store is about 40 minutes by walking.
The place has history. The breakfast was onsite
The hotel needs upgrade. The service is poor, the breakfast doesn't have good vegetarian options
Overseeing the fjord, so it's really beautiful esp on a sunny day.
The hotel needs renovation. The furniture looks old, like it's from the 80s, and the place feels rundown.
Decent facilities, in a nice location. The breakfast was OK. Would visit again.
The rooms definitely need some soundproofing. Some small details that can easily be fixed are e.x. the quality of the pillows, some screws on the door handles that were loose or that more power sockets are needed.
Beautiful location. Comfortable room and good restaurant. P
Just a little bit run down. Needs an update
Location
Very hot inside , the construction of the old part in plastic or something that keeps heat. The bath was leaking, the noise of the floors from the floor above was not nice to have a sleep. Booked it for a spa and it was under maintenance.
We had a lovely room wirh a balcony, weich wasxreally nice.Nice Staffel and very good food.
At breakfast some of the warm food was rather cold.
Beautiful! Exceptional
Staff was not very pleasant. We felt like We were a bother. When a group has chosen to stay at your place, it would be kind to give a little more effort to help us feel more welcomed. It’s about training. Dinner was delicious but the service was terrible. Please train your staff. They are there for their customers not vice versa
Liked location, renovated bathroom, free parking.
The concept of the hotel is great, old-fashioned furniture and style, but everything is dirty, shabby. The awful smell in the room and all over the hotel, which makes your stay unpleasant. The food is bad, I don't know how it is possible to spoil even pizza.
Exceptional dinner. Wonderful view and outdoor sitting areas. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the quiet and comfortable reception area seating. A really short walk to a Joker, a cool mural, a funny troll fishing in drainage, and cute little gift store.
Parking was rather arbitrary and minor distance from accommodation.
Nicely located hotel, with nice staff
The cleanliness of the bathroom left much to be desired. tenants' hair of different lengths and colors in the shower :)
The staff was nice and the location is beautiful
The hotel is old the room wasn’t clean enough. It also was extremely noisy
Close to the fjord, possibility to swim. Restaurant was really inviting and good food!
The beds
Staff were great. The view of the fjord was fantastic. Free parking. Breakfast was ok.
Most definitely not a 4 star hotel. Desperately in need of significant upgrading. Reminiscent of a 1960s motel. Suggest bypassing and going to Balestrand.
Nice view overlooking the fjord
Dusty room, glass windows not clean.. The whole place doesn't look clean and very old. Also the breakfast was 4/10
The best part of our visit was the location, dinner and the staff. We had super attentive service at dinner.
But sadly our stay was just pleasant. The facilities are dated, including just warm water for our shower in the morning. Apparently the main business for the hotel are the tour busses. With two in residence it would have accounted for the just warm water and a breakfast buffet that was over run.
Super friendly and helpfull staff. The location and view from the room even better then on the pictures. And the dinner was exceptionally good!
