Located in a unique location within the St. Bernardin Resort and just 66 feet from the sea, Hotel Vile Park features a beach area and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool halfway between the famous Slovenian tourist towns of Portorož and Piran. Free WiFi access is provided in all rooms and the hotel lobby. Rooms of Hotel Vile Park are built around the 15th-century bell tower of the St. Bernardin church and include air-conditioning, cable TV and a seating area. Some rooms also have a balcony. Private bathrooms come with a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Various restaurants are located on site or within walking distance of Hotel Vile Park, while a nearby shopping street within the resort and includes different cafes, shops and entertainment options. - The location of the property for exploring Piran and Portoro on foot is perfect. The breakfast is also quite ok, with a wide variaty of ingredients and beautiful views of the adriatic sea.
Cons -
- The room had an AC that was set to 26C, and its remote (mounted on the wall) was locked (all the buttons were unresponsive), so it was impossible to change the temperature in the room. And as you can imagine, 26C is way too hot for a proper sleep. We wanted to use the window to let some fresh air in, but there were no musquito nets. Plus the window was actually the door that didn't support tilt open, but instead opened fully to a terrace that was on the ground floor, so anyone could access it and enter the room when opened. Hence, using a window was also not an option. This issue resulted in a night of extremely poor sleep.
