Chaophayathara Riverside Hotel

The breakfast was excellent! Plenty of choice and the food and drinks were delicious.

The wi-fi for the room didn't work and the hotel wifi was a little patchy at times.

We stay here regularly as a stop off point between Chiang Mai and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Always rate as 5* taking everything into account and it offers fantastic value for money.

This is the first time we have not rated 5*. We arrived to be told the on-site restaurant was shut. Having driven for over 6 hours we just wanted to relax and eat at their riverside restaurant. We had to get back in our car and find another restaurant. When we returned to the hotel the restaurant was open. We asked why and they said customers had turned up. Be aware the restaurant is shut on Sundays. Unless of course they decide to open it. But not for us. Very disappointing.

Everything. I'm definitely staying here every time I stay in Chai Nat. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thai-style breakfasts were great. The housekeeping team were above and beyond expectations. Definitely my go-to hotel for Chai Nat!

If I had to choose... maybe the 'American breakfast'?Was still nice, though

Incredible value for money. We regularly drive from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin and the hotel provides the perfect stop off location.

The hotel a little tired and the rooms could do with some updating but that is reflected in the price.

Everything was good for breakfast and for dinner at the hotel restaurant. The location was great for us and we enjoyed the river. The employees were nice and very helpful.

The bathroom smelled bad.

It is the perfect overnight stay on a road trip from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin. After a 500 km drive, park the car, relax in the comfortable room and have a reasonably priced delicious meal at the on-site riverside restaurant. Great sleep in a very quiet room and a great breakfast catering to Thai and Western tastes. We were the only foreigners staying there but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Probably helped that we can both speak a fair amount of Thai.

The property is a little tired but given the price it is the best value hotel in Thailand we have ever stayed at. Living in Thailand we have stayed at dozens and dozens of hotels.

The breakfast was well prepared and presented. They kept the buffet stocked and there was a fair amount of choices.I have stayed many times and this is the place I chose every time because of the comfort of the rooms and the breakfast buffet. I love the Breakfast by the River!

You can always say something could have been better but for the price and quality, I really like this place. They have bikes for you you to use, What's not to like? Oh, Maybe the staff if not so good...NOT!!! They re great!!!

There is nothing good about this hotel its awful

Very dirty hotel- lots of mould I'm bathroom clearly room had not seen a good clean for a long time. Pillows very dirty, sheets and towels not much better, also don't look like theve been cleaned properly for a long time. I don't normally write negative reviews, but this hotel is terrible.

It was a place to rest for couple days, all I needed at that moment. A bed and a shower. Not far from good restaurant

Only standard room, no coffee no tea, maybe Covid rules...but hotel is 15 minute walk from very good restaurant, Goodwill Cafe.

The room was a fair size , clean and quiet. The hotel is in a wonderful riverside location.Wonderful photo opportunities.The restaurant was closed in the evening unfortunately, breakfast options are limited for international guests although Thai options are better.

There was no tea or coffee in the room which was dissappointing after a five hour drive , we had to go out. The restaurant on site was closed. Staff on site directed us vaguely and in the wrong direction for refreshment options. My wife asked in Thai. Actually there is somewhere good nearby that we found on Google maps. Staff at breakfast played on their phones and hardly acknowledged the guests. I have stayed in 100s of hotels Iin Thailand ,this one is slightly overpriced for what you get although it has huge potential to be better

It could be perfect if they let us stay in 2nd floor.

View from the lower floor is blocked. Trash could be seen from the un screened windows. Make sure you get 2nd floor and above but expect higher price.

Yes, they have bicycles at reception 3 off.When I requested to use 1, I was told the tyres are flat.All 3 flat tyres.
