El Reinas by Sugar's Monkey

Pros +

• Great location, super friendly staff, excellent restaurant and the pool was clean and refreshing! Vladimir was so helpful and attentive! Cant wait to return again!
• Staff and food. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast presentation and taste was excellent. Best breakfast we had on our trip was in this hotel. We were sad our schedule didn't allow us to eat more meals here.
• We always stay at El Regina's when we visit Playa Grande. It isn't luxurious but plain comfortable in a great location with nice workers and guests.

Cons -

• Rooms are basic, floors are creaky. There were lots of ants in our room, particularly in the bathroom. The property is listed as beachfront. It is a long 5-min walk across a street and through some trees to get to the beach. It is close to the beach where there is awesome surfing, but I thought calling this "beachfront" was a little misleading.
• No complaints.
